OK, Bigblock and I wanna go play in the sand. Anyone want to join us for the weekend? Typically we stay in the Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills area, but might go towards Corolla this time if the hotels aren't tooo $$$$ up there :)

Anyway, if you wanna go, its lotsa fun driving on the beach >:D

4x4 suggested but anyone should be able to get out there during low tide ;) heck we even saw a minivan out there last time :eek:

Sooooo, If you wanna come play with us, post here. We'll dig up some hotel info based on crowd interests. Also, this is one weekend before the HUGE, MONSTEROUS First Flight centenial party at the Wright Brothers National Park. If anyone has any interest in A) history B) flight stuff or C) fun, you should come down (y)

seems as if we are the only ones that wanna go play in the sand Mike....have you guys looked into hotel pricing/avail yet? I think this is the weekend before the centenial flight party
 
Would love to go to this unfortunately, I'm going to be down there the weekend after (Dec 13th) to hunt. Can't head out that far 2wknds in row - too much poop to do around the house :( Let me know if you guys change plans!
 
Got Debbie looking into rooms for that weekend. We need to post this GTG in Reg 1.

I thought the Ga folks were having a 4x4 GTG that weekend. Crap now I have to decide which one to go to. :8: Rob, y'all still doin the GA thing that weekend? ???
 
hmmm....thought they were going in November....oh well.....the OBX is a different kinda off roading adventure....all beach and surf (if you follow Bigblock that is ;)) hehe
 
I can come down for the 6th. I have to work 5 & 7. I can do a 1 day trip though since I am not too far away.

I would say we need to start booking now. I am only staying Sat night, what about you?

Gerry, I will be leaving early Sat morning, probably around 7am from Franklin. It will take me about an hour to drive to Ches. to pu 168. We will firm up that week.

I guess check in will be in the pm?? I'll have Debbie check.

Got my room reserved for the Corolla Hampton Inn. Still got the 85/night rate for the king room available.

I'm coming in friday evening and will head back on sunday. If anyone else wants to join us, just post here and let us know. Should be great fun driving out on the beach :)

well that kinda depends on the boss man ;) My best guess is that I'll be in later on, 9ish but could be there sooner if the boss allows me a 1/2 day (which I'm askin for (y)) When are you guys gonna get down there?

ahh, come on down! We'll have to rename it to the 2500 GTG ;)

Its not too bad a drive down from Raleigh....actually I did it on my motorcycle last time down....that was interesting ;)

Is this trip still on? I'm interested, not 100% yet, but very interested. I've been to Duck, NC in winter - beautiful, I've spent a summer in Manteo - beautiful, I've driven on the beach in a 2 wheel drive - beautiful. Might be me & my 14yo son, away for a weekend...
