Oct 12 Houston Chapter Cruise

Check the calendar and meeting page for info. Hope this is not too soon. The next 2 weekends after that are booked for Alamo's Canyon Lake cruise and a Dallas Meet. Let me know as soon as you can if you and your family can attend. I will call and check on fees and availability. Hope the weather is as nice as it was this last Sunday. :D

I saw the calendar this morning. As usual, I may be a holdout till the last minute. I have to move some machines that weekend. I'm trying to get it pushed out for another weekend. I'll be in touch.

BTW, Killer, what's the lake looking like after the flood? They ever get things cleaned up?
 
Hey at least I spelled it right. a not e I changed the site Budman. take another look. This place has a club house and I will try and get it if enough want to go. Canyon Lake sounds great maybe if enough Houston people would rather we could skip our meet and plan on Canyon lake. Maybe we could camp.
 
OK here it is option 2 - if no one bites on this trip I say we replan to attend the Oct 19, trip to Canyon Lake with Alamo Chapter and maybe plan on stay over. :0: I wouldnt mind hooking up with Goo and the gang. I will keep open option for 1 week and then shift to plan 2. (y)

I sent out a chapter wide e-mail and am waiting for reply.
 
I need at least 5 confirms for Lake Conroe cruise to go ahead with it. If not I will scrap plans for Houston Chapter run and post the Houston Chapter meet to cruise to Canyon Lake with Goo. So far I have only 2 confirms for Conroe and the same 2 confirms for Canyon. :cautious:

Well the Lake Conroe cruise is a go for sure even if only a few of us go. My son wants to go up and try out the new AV tent and I should have my sportwing in and installed by then. I need budman and johnny d to get on board.

I'm definitely in. I've weasled out of going to see a friends new baby in Dallas. I will probably meet you guys there since I live in Conroe. Or I can join the convoy at some point if someone wants to make a cell phone call to me as ya'll get closer to Conroe.
 
Johnny D is in! So with Byron, avz66 and me - that makes 4 and maybe Budman he is holding out for the last minute. Gandolphxx has company and cant make it. Bruno is going hunting. I have not heard from anyone else. We sure could use more. What about your new friends Scopegaurd? (y) maybe they can hook up with us. If they joined get them to e-mail me and I can add them to my list.

Good deal byron - you up for Hooters after? Hey by the way you got your AV from buckalew? A friend of mine bought 2 one for his wife and 1 fro him from buckalew. He is good friends with Danny. I know him from years ago - almost went to work there as a tech many years back. Used to live in conroe in 1981-82.

I bought my AV at Parkway in Tomball. Donny Buckalew was in my Sunday School class briefly, so I know him somewhat. However I am loathe to set foot on their dealership. They treated me very very very badly on several truck repairs. So I figure its best for me to just stay away.

Hooters afterwards sounds like fun to me. Maybe we can get the girls to pose with the trucks. :)
 
Canyon lake is back to normal. RAZZ, Rough-Riders, and myself are staying the hole weekend for sure. We have reserved two trailers. We will and can get more if needed. Plan on staying the night out there if you want. We will make room if you don't want your own place. There are a few more that said they were going to spend the night but are not confirmed. Most of the gang is coming up on Saturday.

I'm in! I canceled the weekend work and will be looking forward to the cruise. Now, I guess I have to go clean her up again. Darn rain!
 
For anybody who checks the night before - I am going to bring beer and softdrinks in a cooler as well as chips and varius snacks. Someone who wants to bring a grill would br great for us to cook out. Let me know in an e-mail other wise we can use on sight stuff and make a run to the store once there. If anyone wants to bring horseshoes, frisbe, kites, fishing poles or whatever - great feel free. I was not sure up until just lately how many were coming for sure so this was not planned as well as I would have liked. SORRY. We will talk over Sat morning before we pull out just exactly what everyone wants and pick it up on the way. Was thinking about stopping at Hooters in the Woodlangs on the way back. ;)
 
I have maps and directions for everyone for tomorrow. I plan on going to Canyon Lake next Satuday and Byron is going also. Anyone else wanna tag along?
 
Just tryin to keep this on front page until later tonight and then after tomorrow you can lock this goo and I will start a pic post for after our run and begin switching info to Canyon Lake run for Houston Chapter to hook up with Alamo on Oct. 19th
