I know its early, but I wanted to get this thread started so that I can get some AV's lined up for the Homecoming Parade in my hometown of Somerset, TX. I wanted to get this date on your calendars.

Last year we had a blast, even though we had people almost climbing in our AVs to get the candies and goodies the AV club had to offer the crowd

We had 16 AV's in the lineup and it was a big hit with the hometown crowd.

So let me hear from you ACA/CTA guys and gals and any other AVers in the Great State of Texas that are interested in participating.

Date: Saturday, October 16, 2004
Time: Line up 8:00am-9:30am
Streets will close at -10:30am
Parade to begin at 11am

Lunch to follow at Mamacitas

Anthony and I loved it last year just needed more candy to get through the whole parade route. ;)
We will see if Marie wants to go but for now 2 for sure.

Ouch! That date change may have just taken us out of the running. I will let you know once I can confirm. I hope we can go....what a great list of AV's for this gig! Should be a blast.

I think we have about 14 or so Avs signed up - wouldnt it be great to have over 20!
I will see if I can get some more people from Houston to ride over with me this year!

Okay guys and gals, I feel up to being online and have missed all of you!

I am happy to see my fellow coordinator, Dave02z66 has taken care of my list for the parade! Thanks Dave!

I have been out of commission and am healing nicely, I still can't drive :sleep: but am recovering.

I did manage to send in our parade application and noticed that there is a new rule "NO CANDY ALLOWED" at the parade.

Thats a good thing and a bad thing,

Good thing we don't get overrun with people climbing in the AVs to get it.

Bad thing I did like that the kids would come out and enjoy the day.

What no candy :8: :E:....then how about a plastic beaded necklace with the Avalanche logo ???. Jus kiddin. Sounds like fun ;D wish i could be there for you all. hope everybody is doing well down there. hope you get a big group for the southern regional, and hope to see everyone there.....Hope your doing better MissAv....just remember if no meds work just smile :) :) ;D ;D it makes you feel good all over......

Tazman thanks for the well wishes, smiling helps but laughing out loud makes me hurt LOL but I guess its okay, after all laughter is the best medicine.

Handmade - I know what you mean about candy being a good thing and a bad thing. I guess we will just have to impress the hometown crown with the AVs!
