Odometer fraud???

fellow members,

I am in proccess buying used 2002 Avalanche Z71 imported from state of Michigan in the U.S. by a local used auto showroom here in Lebanon.

my worry is in the certificate of title where the vehicle was registered (MIchigan) it states 33000 miles on odometer & the odometer reading in the vehicle is 16735 miles!!!!! could that be regarded as a rollback??

Sound's like it unless the dash was changed, check for a trans. temp gauge the 1500 don't come with one, if it has one some one changed the dash (Gauges and circut board) and didn't have the milage and eng hours changed from the original

Although I would agree with this I have always recommended you get the swap CERTIFIED - heck the darn sticker from the dealer is like $2.00 ~ when I swapped my cluster I had the odo reading swapped and got it certified - cost me around $50...
