I heard from another member that these things are more for looks they are to close to the body, I just bought the Westin Ovals in Chrome $390 delivered.

I looked at getting these, but they do sit somewhat closer to the body then I woul like...

You can get a similar bar from manik part #168045TSP

4 Wheel Parts an get them for $303 plus some added shipping... they are the best price I found on these, but not a stocking dealer of manik parts...

I just ordered a set of manik #168054T which is the same step but powder coated from them... my added shipping was 20 bucks (to AZ) ... and I know from a member in Tenn that the added shipping would have been 50-70 bucks for him.... (part is coming from Cali )

westin Ovals you can generally get for just around $400 for the bar and mounting kit for the chrome step....

there are 200+ steps out there for this truck... just hard to find the ones you want....

Choistr,
When they talk about the Westin Ovals, I believe they are referring to bars for a cladded model. Unless they know something new. If you check back a couple of pages there is a link regarding e-mails to Westin, regarding their Ovals.

I got my Westin Ovals yesterday, even though I havn't installed them yet I can't see them having anything to do with weather it's claded or cladless

I got my manik bars in yesterday as well, installed them last night. I do not see how it would matter wether the body has cladding or not for these or the Westin Ovals, (seeing as how they mount in a similar fashion)

they mount using an existing nut on the underbody, and a hole that is there from the factory....

It was orginally thought that without the cladding there would be too much space between the body and the step. The spacing would've caused a hazard for someones foot to get caught between the body and the step. But it appears that this isn't the case.

Just got my 2011 Av to replace the 05 and Grrrrr I managed to crush the passenger side OEM one one on a snowbank  - they are definitely not to strong.  Anyone know if you can get a single one or have to buy in pairs?
