I am looking to get an off-roading kit something like the warn accessory kit, but I just want to get a bag and buy the components separately. Does anyone know a good place to get a heavy-duty bag to carry: chains, shackles, tow straps, emergency tow lines, snatch block gloves, heavy-duty rope, etc.
I have found a couple of packages that include all this stuff and cost around $200, but I have all the stuff and just want a bag. (y)

If any one on this forum knows where to get a bag or has a good one, please respond to this.
Thanks. ;D

I keep all my off road goodies and tools in an old drab green military duffle. It is pretty much indistructible and has seen probably 30 years of service. You can find them dirt cheap at any Army Surplus store. They even have nifty little organizer pockets...

I'll second that one. Army surplus store carry some of the most useful things. Especially for truck camping.

Surplus stores are good. The best place to find stuff and get a bargain is at the gun shows. Find out the type of vender typically at the local shows. Some shows (usually the smaller ones) only carry firearms and closely related items. The larger shows carry a ton of camping, fishing and OHV stuff.

Thanks for the help guys. (y)
I found a site that had a lot of great stuff, including a heavy-duty law-enforcement duffle. It is a decent sized bag and should be able to hold my 2 straps, a snatch block, my WARN reciever shackle, a come-a-long, and some other stuff. It doesn't take up much room, and was only $10. I also got an EMT first responder bag and an emergency strobe light. ;D

One has to love being censored - I put a little joke in this thread earlier that has been removed

Humm - I wonder if the Chief has a 2nd site running

HA, HA, HA, ..... very funny.
If you haven't looked at the site, you will notice that it would have absolutely nothing to do with the Chief, but it does have a lot of cool stuff. I wanted to get a "STINGER" but it was only available to law enforcement, really too bad, I was thinking I might throw it down under cops that pissed me off! ;D >:D >:D

I'm just joking, but really surf around it, I picked up the duffle, the EMT PRO PLUS bag and an Emergency Strobe Light! ;D ;D Very, Very Cool.

wasn't me Blue, as you know if I had done it you would have gotten a PM explaining the action - and this is what most, if not all moderators here, do as well.

oh and the joke occurred to me too when I saw the link . . .

I just got home from seeing The Matrix Reloaded. The Duck is a 996.
