Off-roading at 2014 WW GTG

Doing a quick Bing search it looks like there are several to choose from, including a detailing shop.

The detailing shop it seems from their web site also does custom vinyl lettering if anyone is interested...

Only other question I have, does bing say how big the bays are, cause my AV is not exactly the typical size, it aint gonna fit in the touch free bay.

james21, I just wanna say that I want to say that you have one of the baddest rigs out there man. That thing sounds awesome. So can you post a picture of it?

And I wanna say that you have one of the meanest rigs on here as well. No bs. (y)

Thanks man! Means a LOT coming from a veteran on here like you man. Especially with this being my first truck and I only started really modding about 8 months ago.   :B:

As an update if anyone is following my headlight build, they are all done except for the CCFL type turn signal strip.
Still tweeking and working on it.
Had to get some smaller leds to fit into the tube itself to try and get more light.
As a last ditch effort I went online and found a 24 inch strip that serves as a switchback. I just wont connect the white drl function. What I will do, however, is power the ambers on a little different than usual.

Ground to ground of course, but for power I will have two wires going to them-
One going from the turn signal constant circuit- dim - that will go from power to a diode to about a 510 ohm resister(this may change depending how much of a difference I want it to be) and then to the power for the strip
Then I will have the power going from the turn signal itself- brighter when signals are on - that will go from power to diode to power wire for the strip. This way, I will protect the entire system with the diode, and I will be able to use it how I want to

One thing I have noticed though, since my build began, more and more people are coming to me asking for lighting and other mods like other custom sets of lights like this. Which to me is absolutely awesome- I love doing this and whats great is I can make money at the same time this way.

Not sure about the 2nd gen AVs but would presume it's the same.

Starting in 03 GM started switching on the ground side of things, not the positive side.  Unless you ground back into the ground wires coming out of the existing lights if you wire as described your turn signals will not flash and be bright all of the time.

Got a couple old pics offroading, I think 07'ish:

Sorry about the thread jack.

Man dude that thing is really really awesome and truly something unique, I have never seen one modded out like that.

I think I have decided now that this summer I am gonna do tire and rim swao to some fuel trophy beadlocks, some 35 inch mud grapplers, and then also do my custom bumpers, steps and roof racks along with enough money to get lights to fill all of the gaps that will be made because of where I want the lights to be. Then I will gradually add on light bars as I get more and more money.

Again, looks absolutely awesome man!!!

Thanks A lot for the compliments (y).

One of the things that I like most about my truck, is where ever I go, i always see people pulling out there phone to snap a pic of her, and seeing people whip their head around to take a look, always makes me smile.

I'm "going" but my Z66 is offroad limited - don't know if we'll have our son's Z71 there or not.

I ain't gonna lie. I want to go but unless I can bring along my 17s and be ready and willing to bust knuckles after the show and shine to swap out the 24s, I'll have to pass. Bent rims because of lack of enough rubber will surely hurt my pockets 12 hours from home.

Now if you nice folks are willing to help me change tires for the event...............

I think you'll find plenty of people willing to lend you a hand.  I can bring jack and jackstands if that will help with your decision...

Assuming we can plug into 120AC, I can bring a compressor and impact wrench as well.

So whats the story on this? Is it a sure thing for saturday? How many of us are going?
I'm going to go.  Like you, I'm going to stick to the milder stuff with my stock Avy.

Always have my Snap-on Impact with two fully charged batteries, and my trusty 3-ton floor jack and stands (y)
