I just deleted my last post altogether. What a great pic and what a wonderful time it looked like you had.

My dad, being familiar with that region, says that is the Ohio River. Correct him if he's wrong ;D!

BigBlue: You made great time! Glad you made it back safely! I was expecting Endeavorc to be the first to post pics - he is working on them at the hotel as we speak!

Glad you were able to join us, and thanks for posting the pic! It really was a fun time -
breakfast at Cracker Barrel at 9:00 am Sunday yet. ;)

BTW - does "18" include the lady from Bridgeport (not yet a member) who joined us at Whitesides? What about John and Ted at Whiteside's... they were not able to cruise with us, but they and their AV's WERE at Whiteside's with us!

It WAS a lot of fun!

And, yes - Dad is right on the money!
We were at Heritage Port in Wheeling, WV - overlooking the OHIO River, with the Suspension Bridge in the background! ? (y) ?(The green bridge behind the Suspension is the Fort Henry - it is part of I-70, and it leads from Ohio to the tunnels in Wheeling, just out of view to the East, and the land just on the other side of the river is Wheeling Island... and the hills behind that are in Bridgeport / Martins Ferry, Ohio!)

Sounds good to me.

I could not keep count. Av's were coming and going all day. Seemed like we were driving in circles with the two round trips to Wheeling.

The bridge in the background dates pre Civil war. It was used to carry supplies over the Ohio during the Civil War.

Will work on pictures tomorrow.

Got here just fine a bit tired , a long day.

I got an Award...Thanks to all for coming.

I picked up the "new" name on your last post.

You have to admit Seven is easier to say on the FRS than "SEVENWONDERSOFTHEWOOD" Do you hear me?

See all at breakfast, Have to dry off Av before I turn in.

seven ... the only total that counts is the number in the Avalanche group photo ;)

That is what we are using if we were to be competing at this >:D

If you have 18 in a group photo then you be tied for 2nd with beach's cruise. ?

We had 21 attend our Kerrville cruise but only 18 in our group photo.

It sounds like you had a great turnout / cruise. ?I can't wait to see all of the pics and stories. ?;D
 
Whew....long but wonderful day. This is a photo of my youngest son, Jordan. He was exausted. Wanted to share this because I would like you to see what he wore to bed. See the fuzzy from the Santa Hat??? Thanks dmacker.
You are all a great bunch of new friends. Thank you PeterB for the mod at the McD's potty stop. Peter crawled under the car in the freezing cold & installed my amber DRL's! I was worried because I was the only one of the NEO chapter traveling with white drl's.
We won a certificate.....most people in an AV at the GTG. Hubby, 3 kids, my Mom & myself. (Thankyou front bench seat)
My Mom really enjoyed herself. Her health is bad & she doesn't get out much. We not only met with new friends but we made memories that will last a lifetime to her & my family.
I'll shut up now. Everyone have a safe trip home. I'll post another pic or 2 after this.

hey all!!!

seven/orboater - being the "locals", you did a great job with all the directions and logistics of the convoy

seven-glad you shortened the id, much easier to type!!! i tend to agree with you now about the count. did not get to meet the lady from Bridgeport nor the Whiteside guys, i guess i was too busy doing my lighting mods with JW and E up in the parking lot!

orboater- your directions were fantastic! made good time, home in less than 2 hours. Route 7 between Wheeling and Steubenville was deserted, i think i was the only vehicle on the road. Thanks again!

traz-awesome pic of the ambers in the mirror! it was nice meeting you and your family. enjoyed talking about all the mods, etc. at lunch.

sorry i cant make breakfast, got to work this morning :cry:
