I have developed and oil leak in my front axle. the leak is in the two in. plug just above the fill hole. there is a 1/4 in tube going up from this plug. What is this? Anyone have this problem?

Probably a vent line... 
Unless it's dripping, I probably wouldn't worry about it... My two last Chevy's all leaked from the front diff. Never any drippage, just oil stains all over the diff itself.
