Just over 3 K on my last oil change and I have noticed my oil pressure was running lower that it use to. I stopped into my dealership and explained my concern and service manager says they have seen this happening with the short oil filters. He suggested an oil change and the installation of the long oil filter.
They did find a code for low oil pressure and checked it at the filter housing and seen it jump from 26 to 42 PSI. It seems that the synthetic oil gets restricted in the shorter oil filters before the 5 K mark.
I'll be watching this closely from now on.
