Omaha - Council Bluffs Impromptu GTG

The attached picture shows an impromptu lunch Avalanche meeting that included myself (VR) and GMJones (DGM) today. We were supposed to have been joined by BlkFrog, but he didn't make it. Anyway, all three of us Av owners work for "a large midwestern land transportation company headquartered in Omaha, NE" and all have '03 Av's. If there are any other Omaha - Council Bluffs area Avalanche owners out there (or elsewhere in NE/IA/SD/?) who might be interested in getting together, possibly considering forming a new CAFCNA chapter, let me, GMJones or BlkFrog know.

Hey, jpicconi, why don'tcha join pennfold and myself on the Des Moines meet 'n cruise on April 26th? We'd love to have you cruise on over with us. It's good to hear from yet another Omaha area member. Now we're up to six that I am aware of - BlkFrog, GMJones, pennfold, ChevyThunder, jpicconi and myself.

We do need to get together some Fri or Sat evening for some pizza or other such health food.....

I remember (way back when) last fall when I bought my '03, it seemed odd to me being the owner of this "different" Av as most everybody was of course '02 owners then. My how the times change!

I wonder how I'll feel when the '04s come out!

I really liked snooping around in the '03s at our last meet to check out what they had. I like the rear radio controls, and I hate to say it, but I really prefer the darker cladding oh, well, I couldn't wait.

Yeah, yeah we'll be sayin' back in the good old days... I drove my AV to work up hill both ways with the low fuel light on in a blizzard, yeah, back then XM radio wasn't even an option, can you believe it? And we had to get stearing wheel radio controls aftermarket! What am I thinking? Oh, well, Mr. '03 what will you be saying in a few months? I wonder if they will have the power midgate window or something crazy... quadra-stear who knows Wait til the '08's come out, by then I'll be the new guy (girl) again for a year. What will they have by then... can't wait to find out!
