Here is the question - if we had a local yokel detailer with an outdoor booth at the National Meet on Thursday - would you consider getting your Av washed, waxed, etc. If we cut a deal or two with local oil change providers etc. would you get work done assuming you needed it? If we went to say Jiffy Lube and they gave us coupons to hand out - would you see yourself using them at some point and time? Trying to figure out what service providers to contact for the National Meet.

Thanks!

I would be interested in a detailer providing he would be willing to work around hours of cruises and other siteseeing ventures.

After all when you off-road your vehicle gets dirty >:D

This is what we're gunning for. Thursday is not really an "on-road" day as we'll be at the conference center. So the thinking is having the detailer come to us. Also - would try to see if we could get a good car wash and maybe a detail shop to open early or stay open late for our members in exchange for some advertising of their services. I know I would want to hook up with a detailer - because I'm planning on taking the off-road school and hopefully if the thunderstorm gods cooperate getting VERY VERY muddy! >:D

I'm going to need an oil change down there >:D

Kind of spoiled my AV on $5 oil changes every 3000 mi from my dealer.

Ahem, chevy dealer. >:D lol

I mentioned this in another thread, but it applies here too.

I'd like to see someone bring a device that will program a new gauge cluster's mileage. It appears to be a PITA to find someone who can or will do this. This would be particularly beneficial if someone is selling clusters. It sounded like Pendulum had the ability to program them, I don't know if the programmer is portable or easily movable though.

My $.02

An idea that might be of interest and would support the locals economy:

- Dent King or Painless Dent Removal service, to help get rid of those nagging little dings/dents you might have picked up on your doors.

- Another idea might be to have a local detailer onsite with a mobile power washer for a quick wash and dry?
