OnStar Back-up Battery

If your Av is stolen and the bad guys disconnect the battery, or if you are in a crash and the battery is damaged, your OnStar will not work. My company was thinking about developing a back-up battery for the OnStar system. Would anybody buy it? It would probably be around $60. I just wanted to get some feedback on this idea.

$60 for a teeny battery and some diodes and maybe wires? ?Kinda steep.

Kinda brings about a question? how come GM did not install one?

i would have to agree .... thats kind of high. i would be very interested but not for that price.

If the battery isn't that big like a 9v or a 12v, then I think it would be cheaper to make it myself. If you are willing to drop the price, say $20, it may be worth it.
