I'm just a hop, skip, and a jump down "Death's Highway" (401) I worked in Chatham for years as a driver for Coca Cola.
We are having an AMAZING / HUGE GTG this weekend in Michigan and we would love if you could make it.

Check out the link below. It's gonna be a great GTG (get together) with a LOT of Avy's and great peeps!!!!

:welcome: to CAFCNA!!

I'm in Windsor (don't hold it against me!)

I'll try to keep you informed of upcoming GTG's. Check the Ontario and Michigan boards for upcoming events, the Mich and Ohio groups are pretty active. And the GTG's are always a lot of fun!!!

I'm not too sure how to contact you directly, but I'm fine with anyone else reading or responding to this.

I think that this site is terrific.  I bought my first Avalanche (about a year ago) partly because of it.  The people writing have so many great comments and tips, etc, etc, that it just feels like a whole bunch of friends sitting around a kitchen table and talking.  Although my experience with the Avalanche is limited to one year of ownership, I'd like to help out more.  Here is what I might be able to do...

In my job, I work as a freelance lighting cameraman.  Which these days, means video, not film.  Anyway, I work for corporate and broadcast clients, doing a great variety of different subjects.  And over the years, I have shot a lot of cars.  Demos for sales staff, procedures for mechanics, beauty shots and even racing.  I picked up a few tricks in the past 40 years.

Anyway, I like to offer up my services, if you think there is a need or a want.  I was thinking that I could attend a meet, and we could shoot a number of people (these days, that probably doesn't sound too good) who can demonstrate something that they can do or have done.  We could video any number of different fixes or mods, and post it to this site or utube in a special channel.  Now when you start getting into posting and such, we'll need a 10 year old, because that's stretching my limits, but getting the material - picture and sound - that I can do and do well.

So, I just wanted to plant this seed.  I would find it a lot of fun, and I would feel like I was making a contribution to this site.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Michael

Any chance you will be attending the 2013 Nationals in Niagara Falls, NY?
I can't think of a better way to capture the fun and family aspect of CAFCNA than to have someone that knows what they are doing on the other side of the lens!!! Plus all the great shots and vids of the Avy's in attendance!!

I had asked a buddy of mine, but he has 2 weddings already booked for that weekend.

A video or slideshow of the event would be awesome!!!

If you wanna get in touch directly, you can send me a PM (personal message) thru the site. (just click on my screen name and it will give you a list of options)

P.S. I'm grinning ear to ear right now!!!!

last gtg  i attended was at bobby c,s restaurant in newcastle, was a  great meetup close to 401 and great food at reasonable prices.  Perhaps this summer we could do it again or even at Eastons Service Center  at  the junction of  Hwy 401 and  Hwy 28  there is a Swiss Chalet  there at reasonable prices. With lots of parking/ gas

Hi all, new owner here...live on the lake in Huntsville.

Just picked up an '11 LT with lots of options, Victory Red, only 54,000 kms and in excellent shape.  (y)

Not my first truck, but is my first full-size, and definitely my first Avalanche.  Looking forward to lots of fun with this rig, including towing boat, quads and sleds.
