Hey there,
I'm a 20 year old Advanced Police Studies student from Guelph, Ontario.

I just got purchased my first Z71 AV 2002, after having owned a Mercedes Benz E320 for the past year and a half, and the upgrade has been unreal! My cousin also owns a 2004 AV as well, and he loves it too.

I just took it up for a road trip to Tobermory, Ontario for a weekend of camping and it was perfect for the comfortable ride and space! (as well as a few off roading sessions). I have yet to have named it but once I start adding a few modifications to it I feel a name will come out at some point! haha

I have not attended a GTG but would love to find some time too, and meet some new people as well as gain some ideas of modifications I'd be interested in doing in the future!

:welcome: to CAFCNA Marysia!!!

We would love to meet you at a GTG soon. There is one in Windsor at the end of September.

There will be members from Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

They are a great bunch of people, and it would be the perfect opportunity to meet other members and check out their trucks,
all while having a great day at Point Pelee National Park, followed by Famous Windsor Pizza dinner, and some night life.

Post up and let us know if you can make it. It's gonna be a great time!!!  (y)

Hey guys, Old topic but maybe bringing it back from the dead will spark some interest.

Names Chris currently reside near Lindsay Ontario, just picked up a new to me 03 cladded Avalanche, found this site well looking for things to do to it, the modding process will slow going given the time of year but come the warmer weather look out it will be game on.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone around here!  (y)

I know I missed a few members in the list, if you can think of anyone else let me know.
I'm working on putting another GTG together before it gets too chilly.
I was thinking maybe the Niagara region, then maybe a mini modding session @ Stogens for anyone that is up for it.

Let's try to get this region re-united, and share some good times together!!

I just joined today and I'm from Kitchener. I have a 2007  Chevy Avalanche LT. My dirty girl is black.

CarMech1969 here, from Scarborough, ON.

Owner of a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 series, 4x4.
8.1 liter engine, 158,000 miles, body is good for the year.

Here it is, hooked up to my tiny ship. Pulls amazing! No more slowing down to 50 mph on a grade  (y)

Hello from Ottawa, I have had my AV since 06 and been a member since 06 as well. I bought it with 25K on it. It now has 210K on it. The 5.3 runs like a top. I have been using synthetic oil for about the last 5 years now. For the most part the body looks good, battling a bit of rust over the wheel wells and on the hood. I have it Krown sprayed every year since I bought it but that area over the rear wheel wells allows dirt to sit there wet and with road salt. Not bad rusting considering I have driven it every winter.
Original exhaust........ hole in the muffler so it sounds deeper than normal. Gotta get it fixed.  Am not planning on getting rid of it and have contemplated getting a stainless exhaust replacement. I had also twisted the rear bumper when I was having a bad day and back d into a tree. The tree did not move. I have been wanting to replace it myself but have not been able to find a bumper on the net....lots of bumper cladding but no bumpers. I guess I am not looking hard enough.

Bye for now
