I ordered a Z66 Sunset Orange Metallic with bench seats, convenience package, security package, XM Radio.

Glad I finally did it! Seems the only way to get just the things you want.

Congrats on your new purchase....the hardest part is going to be the wait.....hopefully it will seem to go by at a rapid pace....but don't forget pics..when you finally get it...... :B:

I just ordered mine this past Monday, and I also can't wait!!!

I too ordered the sunset orange, convenience package, Bose system, upgraded leather, but passed on the XM radio (the payments will be high enough without that subscription stuff...). Plus I just sold my car tonight (big relief, but it was a hella nice ride, '98 Grand Prix GTP, loaded, sunroof, 12 disc changer, yadda yadda....)

I must say, I am glad I found this site to share the Av joy!!!

Did you get the cladding option? I think that was an option?

There was no option for cladding so I believe it comes with it. I read on the club site here that it will be in Feb. when it will become optional and cost and extra 700 bucks or so. I would pay the $700 bucks!!

Thanks a lot Leather! You don't know how close I came to caving and getting a 2002! Hard to wait, very hard.
But the main reason I am glad I waited is that I had not seen a Sunset Orange Metallic, and when I did I changed my mind (from Red) about what color I wanted!

Question: What are people's comments about your Sunset Orange Metallic color? I know that the color to me just didn't sound good to the ear, but boy in person I looks so great, especially with the gray cladding!

The attached picture is not my Av cuz I dont have one, I am just trying to learn how to upload!! hehe

My choices came down to RED or SOM and I thought I wanted RED but so many others car and trucks are RED, I wanted to have a unique color for my unique truck also I had read that metalic paint holds up better. I get alot of complements on my AV and her color. SOM Unite

Yes, I like the unique color aspect too. I have never heard that metalic holds up better though. Does anyone else know about this?

Your dealership should tell you the build date. Then it's just transportation time to your location. It took about 5 days to get from mexico over here to GM MFD Lordstown by rail. But we have a rail facility right here, so it didn't have to be trucked.

I won't be surprised if you see them for a while on the 03's. I think the current incentives that came out last month are good until early September.

Congrats! It's so exciting when you get that notice they built it. When you take delivery, check to see if those headrests are articulating as advertised. I suspect they are not. If it's important to you make the dealer trade them out.
