Looking to upgrade a little and save some fuel in the process.

When I ordered I was asked if I had the Mitsubishi or Delphi Coils. I did not know that there are two types of coils out there and did some digging.

Mitsubishi Coil, OE:12558693
Delphi Ignition, Use w/Coils Stamped 19005218

So what do I have? AVA is on the boat headed back to VA :E: Can anyone help? I am assuming it is Delphi. Is there really a difference for the wires?

Vin engine number calls out both types of coils on the same years/engine :E:

It took the third time to get my wires right.... but I too did not know what coils I had, so the first ones they sent were to long, the second ones were to short. The last ones they sent are PN 01-17 and were just a lil longer than the stock wires, so I had install them with the angle pointed to the rear for the one next to the steering shaft so it would not rub.

Do you have a pics of you engine, look at the pic to see if you have the same coils? ???

So you ordered from the same Co. and PN 01-17 are a pretty close fit.

Thanks for the info.

Would our trucks benefit from upgraded coils altogether?  I was told that the truck has pretty good coils but i still think there's more to it than just that.

With better coils they would benifit with better fuel combustion and better fuel milage, I doubt it would be a big jump though
