This should probably be in the stories section but. Last night I went to work and a buddy of mine which has a real nice Av, saw my full time Amber DRL's and he wanted me to do it to his so bad. So I whipped out my tools and MOD AWAY! 5 minutes later, he's asking me for the website. LOL ;D

I've got everything I need for modding in the back of my Av. I've got ply wood, carpeting, glue, dremel, drill gun, cordless circular saw, all sorts of tools. I even got a torch for the just in case I screw up the truck and .............. whoops I shouldn't say that.

But plain and simple, I used a skotchlock to connect the 2 blue wire together and splice a power wire into it, then I solderd the power wire to the spot underneath the location of the 2 blue wires. You'll understand once you open up the electrical fuse compartment.

I attached a pic of the compartment where the 2 blue wires are and notice the red wire directly below the blue wires. This is how Xrover did his. I looped the red wire from the 2 blues directly to that spot where the red wire is. What I had to do is pop out the green connector to be able to solder the power wire. I used a 9/32 rachet and then you have to pry out the connector. Very easy. It didn't take more than five minutes.

You da Man ! (..ny)

Once the weather warms up in Dallas I'll gather my courage (and my buddy who knows far more about cars than i do) and give this a shot!

Believe me, I've got no clue on how to this kind of stuff and it was sooooo simple. Take it step by step and you won't miss a thing

Manny has so much ok Ill be nice and use the word stuff on that bedslide of his he could build a house if he only could figure out how.

As for mannys electrical wiring skills " they dont call him the Rainbow Connection for nuthin"

Just because I used pieces of wire to make one long wire.................Oh that why! OK

I could build a house with no problem. The question is how long will it stay standing?

I will give Manny a Big A+ for credit of trying to do all the mods himself. ? Hes getting pretty good on this Av. ?Hasnt made the same mistakes he made on his first Red Av ?

You don't solder them together, you use a scotchlock to tap into them. It's on of those red thingy type things that you get from Radio Shack to tap into a wire without cutting the wire.
You take both blue wires and stick them on one side and take a red wire and put it in the spot that is plugged up. The red wire then goes in the spot directly under the two blue wires. I solderd the red wire there.

You hook both blue wires up to the one red wire and then put it in the unused slot right? sorry if I am being a pain.

Alex
