Yeah it has.  Any updates to Tonka or the BDE?

New tires, same rims, new drive shaft and new ring and pinion is all I've done the past summer.

I haven"t gotten into mine yet, but I'm afraid I'm going to need some axle/differential work.  Somehow my passenger side rear tire locked up and spun the tire off the rim. I change the tire, not fully realizing what happened, but it was making some bad noises. I drove about 25 mph with flashers on home. When I went to back it in the drive way it felt like it was locking up again. I really hate to say it, but I'm starting to think about getting rid of this truck.

Sounds like your locker and not the ring.

Did you have a similar issue? #When you say locker, are you referring to the differential. I believe I read they are made by Eaton. I haven;t measured the size yet. I hope I can tear into it tonight or tomorrow.

Yes the Differential Locker which is supposed to slip around cures so you have a semi-posi traction; but when the washers wear out, it stays locked on the corners. It may also slip in and out and bark the tires. Sometimes doing like a figure 8 in a parking lot will release it and with a loud bang, or sometimes just going in reverse. If it frees up doing any of those, it's the locker. Prolonged hangups will stress the locker housing and cause cracking. I replaced mine with a Detroit Tru-Trak. I love it and it will outlast my truck.

What did it run you, and where did you get it?

Bought it at Summit Racing and it was around $450.  Had a local shop install it . Been about 6 years ago so probably more now.

Helllo PNW.
I live in Vancouver WA and would be open to meeting. The world of speed idea sounds great.

Anyone else wanting this. I would look into it.
