Just picked up my CW billet grille and step #1 says paint the X-Hatch material black before attaching new billet grille. Was thinking of painting with flat black rustoleum, How many actully do this? Jim

Hey chev04,
This step is optional. Alot of people do this just because you notice
the mesh less. That mesh sticks out like a sorethumb in general.
I will probably do this when i they decide to ship my grill...
Just make sure you tape off all of the chrome and everything
and have at with a rattle can flat black. I would probably scuff up
the plasic mesh with some 150 or so sandpaper first so that it
adheres...

Personally I would paint it flat black also. I've seen a couple of grills with the mesh not painted and it looks like crap. Take your time and put some pride into your work. You'll be patting yourself on the back when done. Hope to see some pics when you're through.
