The Paris Landing Regional Avalanche Regional Meet is officially over now and people have headed home.

As coordinator of this event I would like to give a big THANK YOU to the 25 Avalanches that participated. We had a good number that bailed at the last minute or didn't show but 25 Avalanches came from the following states: Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, New Jersey, Missouri and Tennessee.

The following members were in attendance: (TN) EarthQuake, Aftershock, TNAV, Rainman, fly nAVy, MurmanZ71, (KY) Mrs. MurmanZ71, KY Bob, KY AV, Musiks, (OH) TexasCwGrl, Just Jeepin, BMAC, Sunuva, JulieB, (IN) SmartAV, Z66Butch, The Mox, RayChevy, MetalMayhem, (AL) Jack937, (GA) Hug_R_AV, (MO) Tdybr27,(IL) LonlyDrftr, (NJ) mmdavidw, (TX) Vetman and ImpactAV
Most everyone arrived Friday evening, some a little later, but everyone made it safely.

We started off Saturday with continuing registration and The Marketplace. We offered many products for sale and showed off some of what our sponsors had offered for the Raffle. Everyone received information on our sponsors and their products during their registration and in their Welcome Bags.
The Welcome Bags included the following:
SAMPLES - Jack Daniels Mini Bottles, 2 Cans of Stoner's Tarminator, 3 sample packs of Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax, a K&N mini-filter key chain, a Flowmaster ink pen, Mr.Clean AutoDry Carwash sponge, Armor All wipes (courtesy of the Atlanta International Auto show ;) ), Paris Landing Regional Meet T-Shirt
DISCOUNTS - TNT Avalanche Accessories, Sportwing, Stoner, Sparkplugs.com, Mr.Clean AutoDry Carwash, Lil Devil Motorsports,
DECALS - Jeg's, Flowmaster, Taylor, Mr.Clean AutoDry Carwash, K&N, WAAG, Jack Daniel's, Sparkplugs.com, 2004 Paris Landing Regional Meet Decal
FLYERS - Flowmaster, K&N, Taylor/Vertex, Westin, Jeg's Spring Catalog, SnugTop, TireRack.com Catalog, Pacer Lighting

We were able to offer for sale at The Marketplace: Smig's Hose Kits and Billet Door Light Frames, BikerChic's Door Handle Covers, Diecast Customz Dub Avalanches, SnakeEyes mounting brackets and monitors & Z66Butch's Swing 'N Load. I appreciate all those that participated in sending products to the Marketplace, I'll be in contact with you this week to square things up.

We were able to Cruise into Paris Saturday morning. We left out of the park at 11:00 and were escorted onto the highway by a Park Ranger showing off his strobes. Rainman led us through his hometown with some traffic assistance by Musiks. We cruised to the Paris(TN) Eiffel Tower and had a chance to take many pictures of the AV's with the monument. We headed back out on the road to Trollinger's where we suprised the restaurant, but they took things in stride and had all of us in and out in less than an hour.

Off-Roaders headed out after lunch at Trollingers and had quite a drive up to Land Between the Lakes (LBL) to get their AV's a little dirty. There had been a lot of rain over the last week including the night before. We were able to take a very light trail and about 1/2 of another trail before things got...interesting. We all got to see how skilled we were at backing up in small wooded spaces, how well a Z-66 does off road (not bad), how to tow an AV and the proper technique for riding on the rear bumper of an AV. We got some good pics that you'll see here soon. We had to cut the off-roading short due to some unexpected delays and the trails becoming unpassable. We appreciate Tree Hugger for guiding us in and out safely and being a cool head under a little pressure...you did a great job.

Saturday's group dinner showed exactly how many people were with us. We had 70 people at dinner. We ate at the Park's buffet...all you could eat prime rib and a full variety of other stuff.

We really enjoyed meeting everyone and appreciate everyone who came out to this meet and joined us. It was a big event regardless of the numbers in attendance. It was a pleasure to meet you all, my only regret is that I didn't have time to talk in depth with each of you and I didn't have time to check out each attendee's AV (stupid rain :Bang Head: ). You guys were great to work with and I appreciate everyone's cooperation in all aspects of the meet...YOU GUYS WERE GREAT! Anytime any of you are back in the Middle TN area, please let me know and we'll meet up.

HAD A GREAT TIME ;D

Note: My Paris Landing GTG T-Shirt has now been worn thru the Memphis, TN, DFW, TX and John Wayne, CA airports with pride ;)

I think Earthquake deserves a HUGE :D thank you for the time and attention in making the trip happen. I have been to several meets in the past with 4 wheeling and have never seen one so organized. My hat is off to ya Earthquake (do not get blinded by the bald spot). I personally had a terrific time and am counting the days until the next one.

I think everyone needs to make plans for next year's event. The people you meet make you feel like part of the family.

This is a very abbreviated showing of pictures from the meet. I'll try to post more, but they are very tedious to go through and resize, post, etc...

Pictures Courtesy of The MOX. These are 500 pixel, if you want a bigger (2500 pixel) copy, please email me (see profile) and I'll send it to you via email.

You wouldn't have a red WBH on 20s or 22s would ya.
I saw a sweet looking one as I was passing through Milan friday night on my way to the GTG.

PD Welcome to the club..!!
Hopefully we can meet you at the next GTG (Get together)

Congratulations to everyone who won prizes!
It looks like everyone had a wonderfull time. Nice pics, thanks. Now I can see what I missed. I really wanted to be there. I entertained every possible idea of getting out of work. But....well, none worked.

Hug_R_AV, e-mail me at custombowties@sc.rr.com or call me 843-871-9940 to discuss your new bowtie.

Can someone hook me up with the details on those AV art pictures? I would like to purchase one of the LPM AV.

Thanks,
Les

All,

Many mahalos (thanks) to all involved. My ohana (family) had a great time with da kine (fellow AVrs).

The American Thunder exhaust system will be installed soon. Tammy and I will post photos.

Here are the winners of the MaddMax Car Artwork (signed). This was a bit of a suprise to everyone and I just got them in Saturday before the raffle. The raffle for these was done by color, anyone with a Red AV was in the raffle to win the Red AV picture, etc. I think it went really well and everyone seemed really pleased that this was a little bonus raffle.
You can find MaddMax artwork on prints and t-shirts on their website (www.1MaddMax.com) and on eBay (occasionally). They do more than just AVs. They were great to work with! Prints start at $15 and T-Shirts start at $14 (they also have hats).

Just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks Earthquake and his band of volunteers who made the weekend a sucess. My wife and I enjoyed the event and she is even interested in going to some other GTG's.

My thanks to Corsa for the donation of the exhaust tips (which I won in the second tier drawing) and to Bob (TNAV) for getting them to the event.

I got them installed this afternoon at a local muffler shop. It's raining but I thoought I would include a soggy picture none the less. Should I get a cool sounding muffler to go with the new tips???

Mox, you're a lucky man! Those tips look great!
Rainman suggested using Rim Ice (available though Lil Devil) to keep the tips looking great.

Got to get me some of those tips in the future :B:

I spoke to a rep. from Westin. I was told it cold take up to Six weeks to receive it. So of course I did the only thing I could do. I begged her to please send me my Westin Bull Bar. She said she would see what she could do. I hope i get it soon.

Did anybody win any money from the lotto tickets??

I don't know about anyone else but all my luck was used up in the drawings ;D I didn't even hit one mumber on the ticket I received. No one hit the Powerball's grand prize for that particular drawing.
