The journey to Paris Landing has begun! The sky is clear, the trees are green and the flowers are blooming, it couldn't possibly be a better week for a drive!

For those keeping track at home I'm headed down 81 down the western side of Virginia. I am currently in Woodstock, VA at Hardees. I expect to end up near Pigeon Forge, TN tonight and will arrive in Paris Landing Friday AM.

The bugs are pretty thick so I'll have to sort through my pictures later and see what's worth posting.

I will check in later and will see you all in PARIS LANDING TOMORROW!!!

Well, I was doing good. Now I am stuck.

"A tractor trailer and pickup truck were involved in an accident on I-81 at Milepost 183 Southbound. Both lanes are closed at this time and a detour will be in place. The detour will be to Rt. 60 to 11 Bypass and back to Rt. 11. Traffic will get back onto I-81 at Exit 180 at Fancy Hill."

I'm about 10-15 miles backed up in traffic from where the accident happened.

Looking like I'll be here awhile.

Anyone traveling avoid the I-81 area around mileposts 183 through 250ish.

I'll probably be able to get some pictures posted while I wait though.

I'm just east of Knoxville, TN. The plan is to get a little closer to Nashville and find a hotel room and work on some pictures.

Yep, stopped there on our way down last summer.
(At least I think that is the same guitar-shaped building.)

There are Avalanches everywhere!

I'll try and post an updated count once everyone gathers for the cruise.

Probably won't be many more pictures until I get home though. I might throw a few up tomorrow afternoon but that would probably be about it.

So many new faces and new AV's and new mods that I don't want to waste my time in the hotel room geeking. Those of you that aren't here will just have to wait. :)

The cruise into Paris is done! Believe it or not it's even sunny out! This is the first major cruise I've ever been in where it hasn't rained. I'm still waiting on an official count. I heard 24 one time, 26 the other and 28 the other time. We're right in there somewhere.

The offroad group leaves in 10 mins to go get muddy!

The last of Friday's pictures are up. I'm not nearly motivated enough to even think about starting on Saturday's pictures. I have 1000 miles of driving ahead of me tomorrow and then pictures will be up.
