I have had intermittent Park Assist problems for years with it getting worse and worse. Sometimes it works but most times a red light only. DIC says Service Park Assist...sometimes. So I took to dealer (I know but I was there for something else) & was told I needed 4 new sensors at a cost of over $1200! 
So I bought new ones Online for less than $50 and installed.....no change. Is there a module? If so where is it and is it specific to VIN or truck? I have a 2008 LTZ.
Ok a follow up question. I have replaced all 4 sensors and the module and no change. DIC shows SERVICE PARK ASSIST. Is there a software update needed? A trip to the dealer required to connect to their diagnostics?
