Parking in the garage it fits ... does yours

i took a look at the door yesterday. i think i see a way to adjust it. just wondering if i do it if the door will go all the way down? seems like i can adjust two ways. one of them should give me the desired results.

This is the same setup on my opener. The adjuster closest to the door determines when the door will stop closing (it should stop or rebound if it hits the ground first). The other one adjusts when it will stop opening.

thanx. now that i think about it that only makes sense. i will try it out next time i go over there. i don't want to sound mean, but i can't wait until he moves. i want to get out of this apartment so bad. :8:

I spent the day cleaning my garage out. I have my 4 wheeler, bike, kayak, scooter out on the lawn. Little kids came by to see if I was having a gargae sale. But I got it cleaned out but I was worried about the clearance. Made it by several inches although the antenna twanged against the door bottom. I was able to pull it all the way in to the step and the tail is one or 2 cms from the door! Talk about tight! But its inside. My MR2 spyder looks like a toy next to its big brother.

I couldn't fit my Av for all the other toys in there.
6 bicycles
KX125
XR50R
toolboxes
moto x gear
work table
P.S. If i organized it i could probably fit the Av in.Then again the wifey would park her '02 Sub in the garage if it were better organized.lol

Yup it took great effort to get my lazy butt to organize and clean the garage. Its kind of nice being able to get into the house thought the garage door! LOL

I did the same garage cleaning you did and mine barely fits in also. I have to open the big garage door if I need something from the other side.

We have a three car garage. My wife parks her car in the single stall and I put the Av and all our other stuff on the two car side. It barely fits.

Peace-out!

The wifes Tahoe goes in but the AV is just too long with the freezer in front. I hate to have it outside but what is a guy to do?????

Those PICs say alot! Same thing here. There is an automatic car wash with a cleaning device that goes around the truck. It barely fits into the oval that it makes as it cleans the truck.

I wish I could fit in my garage.... My truck barely fits width wise, but my Av is about 6 inches longer than the garage.... :E:

It BARELY fit in my old garage. I don't have a garage anymore. :(

yeah right   ;D

I can't get the lawn mower in there :cautious:

We have 4 young adult children... We ARE the designated storage facility :E: :E:

Time to build a shop I guess! (y) (y)

As some of you know, we are about to build a new house. My current house doesn't have a useable garage, other than for storage, so I am really looking forward to a new garage.

I checked out the blueprints and the interior dimensions are 19'6" deep and 19'1" wide. That's a pretty small 2 car garage, but both of our cars (Av & 2004 Quest) will fit. The problem is that's all that will fit. No room for trash cans, bikes, lawn mower, etc.

So, it took some convincing of my wife, but we changed our plans. We will now have a 3 car garage. I'll park in the single bay and the van will park in the 2 car bay. There will be plent of room around it for other stuff.

Since the Av is 18'6" I'm going to get a concrete parking block. That way I can back into my spot and know exactly where I need to stop so the door will close.

only had a few inches to spare in old garage, so it sat outside since I bought it. I added 2' to the new house's garage that is currently under construction (y). The loaner house that I'm in right now has a huuuuuge garage

>:D I will Let You Guys Know on Friday but I doubt it. Guess I should have thought more about The AV b4 I bought the House-

I've got a 4 car garage but I still can only park the AV in one spot to allow the garage to be useful. I've really come to appreciate the power folding mirrors .... otherwise it's about 2 inches on each side going through the door.

merged this new thread into the existing thread.....check it out....one member modded his garage to let his truck fit.....

I have the same problem, standard-size 2-car garage. I have to back the Avy in at an angle and swing it against the outer wall of the garage once I clear the garage door guide rails. Back in until I bump the rear wall, have about 8" clearance when the door is closed.

The wife wanted to know why I back in like this....I asked her if she wanted me just to pull in so that I could open my door and get out so that she would have to climb across from the passenger-side to get in hers. She said....."NEVER MIND"! ;D

Wow...lotsa houses being built around here. I'm building as well. Told the builder up front "you've seen what I drive, make sure I have enough driveway to turn it around". Also, we had 10x8 garage doors installed instead of the 9x7 standards. 7' is "just" enough... 8' should give me tons of room. Since this is a basement, length is not an issue. I think I could get 2 in nose-to-tail if I really wanted to.

Mine barely fits in a one car garge. Have to fold in the mirrors to get it in, just to clear the doors. The length is wall to wall, rear & front bumper touching.

Hello!

We measured the garage and brought an Av home to see if it fit.
So ours is garage kept. Although sometimes one would think it isn't.

Our garage is 32'X32' with 7'X8' doors. The guy who owned the place before us build it to build race cars. He branched out to monster trucks and had to move.

I recall there was a 2wd Suburban and a '32 Ford Model A roadster (Chevy 350 / 400 Turbo Trans) in the garage when we looked at the place. too bad the 32 didn't come with the garage.

Our Monster of a Garage has a Gas Heater & A/C so modding can be done year round.

Sorry for gloating. My friends describe our place as a six car garage with a 3 bedroom bath and a half split.

Peace!
