Thank you, thank you... no applause necessary. No scraping windows for me this winter! Finally got my 18 ft. Av to fit in my 19 ft. garage... provided, I walk through the service door sideways;D

Do you get that pfffft sound when your garage doo closes like the nyou seal tupperware? :p

Nice AV and parking job.

Yeah . . . . the Av brought about some garage cleaning on my part as well . . . now to make room on the other side for the 'Vette!

At least you dont't have to worry about how far into the garage to pull up!!!

Just go till you hit the wall.

Easy enough.

:B:
If you can figure out how to get an 18' Av in a 16' garage, let me know.............

It's an adventure getting our AV into the garage ;D. The length isn't too bad in the garage but the width and height are not that great. The AV just barely fits. If we had gotten the roof rack, we would be in trouble with getting the AV in the garage .

he modded his AV
he modded his garage
then added more mods to his AV
then modded his garage

Where this a will
there's an AV

I gotta have a garage sale and get rid of 10 years of junk just to walk in my garage. Putting my AV inside would be icing on the cake.

You could take a leaf out of PhantomFloaters' book and just extend a little;

Now that's what I call "Improvise, adapt and overcome"... well done Lee.

This is one of those mods that could be on TBS "Man Made Movie". Where during commercials they make mods to a house to make it the ultimate guy pad. "What to do with a big truck & a small garage...

So this is why my ears were ringing today, you been talking about me. When it comes to wood I can do just about anything, but thanks to this site I'm getting pretty good at modding my AV, something I've never done with any of my other vehicles.

Thanks for the kind words.

Lightbg,

Or you can just pull the AV inside and keep the garage door open. :D

So when you see your Avy opening your garage door you know you can stop right?....Man I wish I had a garage. :8:

Oh happy day! The wife, child and I just closed on our new home. The first thing we did was check if we could get both vehicles (the AV and our 1997 Chrysler Concord) in the garage. I was worried that the garage door wouldn't be wide enough for us to get them both in (as the AV is pretty wide and so is the Concord) and then, even if we could, we wouldn't be able to open the doors to exit the vehicles. Much to my (happy) surprise, they fit! The AV has about one foot to spare length-wise. Not only that but there is room on both sides of both vehicles for an actual adult size person to exit same. I guess home builders are taking into account the size of vehicles these days, and that really makes me happy. ;D ;D

remarkable... Now that is adapt and overcome indeed...I will need to print out this page and save it for future reference...for when I have a garage...I'll know how to approach an obstacle like that.... :B:

Classic ! ;)

Vehicles in a garage....wow, what a concept!

Geez! All of my money for mods is tied up in "priceless keepsakes" (a.k.a. "worthless junk") that's piled in the garage preventing my AV from roosting there!

I've heard that a few times in my day... >:D

LOVE that garage MOD! (y)

Well, I finally got them both in the garage!

First, the workbench had to go to the barn.
Then the freezer went where it was,
then the garden shelves had to be cleared so it could move,
then move the shelves where the freezer was,
then put stuff back on it,
then move the drill press,
then move the toolbox,
then move the chop-saw,
then move the bikes,
then move the tool-rack,
then move the recycling.

Then, back in yellow,
then pull in white.
Eye-ball garage door and viola!

Not so bad!
