Hi!
I am giving serious consideration to buying a 2011 Avalanche Crew Cab LT 4x4 in Ontario. Wondering if anyone has experienced any problems with parts and or service. This is an awesome looking vehicle and I really want to be sure I'm happy with it.

Take a look at this thread and feel free to ask any questions you can think of. We're happy to help.

First of all I want to say welcome to the group. I've been here almost 20 years now and everyone is friendly and loves to help.

My 2002 Avalanche has been the best truck I have ever owned. That having been said, the only real issue I have had is Chevrolet. They simply do not support the truck. I tend to keep vehicles for several decades which is why I will not buy another GM product of any kind.

The aftermarket is great for these trucks. You can find mechanical parts, body parts are extremely difficult to find in my experience.

Love the truck, hate the company that made it.

I have not experienced and problems with parts or service from my Chevy dealership but I do recognize that the AV has not been made in 8 years so if ever in a bad collision it may be hard to find AV specific body parts. As mentioned above the mechanical parts are more universal and shared with more plentiful GM models of vehicles.

I’ve just tried to replace the windshield with GM glass. Guess what? Discontinued. And it’s not because it’s an Avalanche. The front windshield isn’t unique. It’s the same as a Suburban.

I do feel sort of sorry for all of those Volt and Bolt owners when their vehicles reach the age of the Avalanche fleet.
