Finally got my 02 Black/ tan Z66. Paid $31830 plus tax and $300 advertising charge (anyone else heard of that?), fully loaded with sunroof, heated seats, onstar, 4.10 etc... Its down the street having a set of 22 inch Kaotik Fixx's installed. The dealer let me roll the $3700 for the wheels into the finacing (0%) so I couldnt pass that up. Had a chance to buy a set of 23 inch Momo Magnums with Kumho tires for $4400 (used a week). Having heard some bad things about the Kumho tires and not wanting to deal with possible wheel damage I opted for the 22's. Will post a pic later...
Thanks to all that post on this site all your tips helped convince me to buy my truck. It was hard moving from a late model Mercedes (97 eclass full lorinser package) to a truck. After I test drove one I was sold, as the AV is about as smooth as my benz was.
Will post a pic later with the new wheels.

Congratulations and good luck with your new ride. I'm exactly one day ahead of you as far as ownership goes, but you can't beat the feeling of cruising down the road laughing at Explorers, Grand Cherokees, and Dodge Rams while wondering " What were they thinking? "

I picked my Z71 up today and I didnt pay any advertsing charge. I jsut looked to see what I paid but no advertising charge. truck looks Very hot with those rims on it good luck and watch out for curbs ;D

Congrats! ;D

Just Picked up my Z66 Black & Tan combo 2 weeks ago!

Hot combination!!!! ? >:D

I've had my black/black Z-66 for about 3 weeks. It's a lot of fun although my wife thinks I'm nuts...I was worried about the heat with all the black but it's cooler inside than my tan interior Expedition. I've had 4x4 vehicles for years and used it on rare occasions when we had snow. What have you heard about the rear locking differential and driving in snow. Thanks

Congrats on your new Av.....I'll be interesting in seeing your Av with your new wheels....like I stated earlier I have an Av owner around the corner who is sporting 22 inch wheels on a grean Z71 and it looks hot....good luck... :B:

Well I am in Tampa florida and the heat is brutal down here but so far the black doesnt seem any hotter than my silver Mercedes. Its just tough keeping a black vehicle clean with our afternoon rain storms.
I didnt ask about the locking diff as it never snows down here ;)
Congrats on your new truck too!
