Well I finally got an Av after 2-3 days of haggling mainly on my trade in value. I am proud to say I have a new Black 1500 Z-71 Avalanche that was born on 06/02. It is fully loaded with graphite leather memory seats, sunroof, and convenience packes as well as a roof rack, GM chrome nerf bars, GM Grill guard, GM bug guard and even the tent. $33,900 out the door.

I had a smile from ear to ear ;D as I drove it home. Both my wife and I love it and cant wait to go camping in the tent. Finally....................Let the good times roll.

Congrats! Which Grill guard is it? The one made for the Avalanche that matches the cladding? :B:

Yes the grill guard that has the gray cladding on part of it and crome tubes as well. I will try to post some pics later this week since my wife will be driving it during the day.

Congrats on your new addition and welcome to the growing family of Av owners.... :B:

Congrats on the new Av. I've had mine 6 weeks now and I still can't wipe the grin off my face. ;D

Congratulations on the purchase of the newest member of your family. Welcome to the club, you will definitely enjoy your new AV, I have had mine 9 months and still haven't stopped smiling.

Again congrats! and welcome to CAFCNA

Miss Avalanche :B:

Congratulations!!
I've had mine 6 daysand it just gets better and better......Also I'm fast becoming the "King of the $5.00 Mods", mostly due to the very clever people who post on this board. The amber DRL's, some stick-on bowties in the rear bumper corner steps, and a roll of red reflective tape for the lettering has kept my wallet safe and the wife quiet - a double victory!

Congratulations! Sounds like you got a pretty good deal on it too! ;D ;D
I'm waiting to get one too and hopefully join the "owner's side" of the discussion soon! I can't wait!

Congratulations to all of you new Av owners, and welcome to both the ranks of ownership and to the CAFCNA neighborhood. . . .

I fugured we'd probably see a number of new Av's about this time of year with 2002 closeout deals and early 2003 purchasers. . . . the numbers keep growing Chief!

I am so glad I finally got the Av after sitting on the sidelines and checking in for a long time. I have been a member here for a long time.....i think I was like member 88...not sure how to check. I have wanted the Av ever since I saw it as a prototype.

Now to start doing a few mods. I need to take it easy on the wallet though. One of the first will probably be a new flag bowtie :B:, since I missed out on it the very first group buy. Hopefully, I will be able to share some first hand wisdom later.

Congrats on your new AV........Be aware of the Brush Guard and be sure to add about 8 in of judgement to your front end...or ...OUCH..you may hurt somebody

Well it is good to know I have not lost my mind. I get in my Av every day and smile.
I love to drive again. Only have 800 miles and less that a month old but man it is a great driving truck!
