Anyone have any suggestions for removing pine sap from the bed covers? I don't want to use anything that will discolor the panel. I've asked her not to park under that darn tree.........................I want my AVA back!!!

Many ways....but here is one...

Get an ice cube....and hold it on the sap spot.....let it sit for a good while so the sap gets very hard....then use your fingernail to pick it off.....This tends to work on paint and other trim surfaces......

If not.....

Get a citrus based bug and tar remover...and spray it...and let it sit for a while....then pick it off.....Test which ever product you use on hidden part of cladding....under rear bumper is good place to test......

If these 2 do not work.....

Find the 3M wax/tar remover...it comes in spray can.....it can be harsh but do test....it has worked for others on here to get all sorts of things off the cladding and paint....

Good luck

Ice cube? HUH?  Interesting

How about dents from falling coconuts?

employed the peanut butter method of sap removal on the cladding this weekend - worked like a charm.......

Isn't peanut butter doing nothing more than oiling it up?

apparently oils in the PB break down the sap.......

toothbrush/dab 'o peanut butter/water spray bottle.

work in, let sit a bit (not long).

repeat, wash off with mild solution Zaino car wash, rinse and presto!?
