Just going over the wiring charts for the AVIC Z2 and the PAC OS-3BOSE and the Blue/White wire on the PAC has me confused.  There doesn't seem to be a wire on the Z2 to hook to.  Is this wire needed for the Bose Amp or is it for an aftermarket amp if added?  In the 2007 Wiring Post DS said you could use the power antenna wire, would it connect to that?

Thanks

You probably don't want to use the power antenna wire as that may only be tripped when you're using AM/FM.  I installed the OS3Bose for my Alpine and I tied the Blue/White to the Alpine's blue/white remote amp trigger.  I have to believe that the Z2 has an amp trigger wire, it's a universal feature for any head unit that has RCA outputs for an outboard amp.  The wire on the Z2 may not be blue/white, but check your wiring diagram for it and I'll bet there's a +12 amp trigger wire.

I thought I had looked at it pretty closesly ???, but I'll go over it again.  How do you like your Alpine?  Did you get the new one where the Blackbird goes right inside the Unit?

Really like the Alpine so far.  Yes, it's the one with the internal dock for the new Blackbird. However the new Blackbird isn't available yet so I can't comment about that functionality.  Alpine says "Summer" for it so hopefully within the next 6-8 weeks.  They said "Spring" for the W205 and it was available early May.

The iPod connection is very fast and sounds excellent, Sirius works great too.  I'm going to be hooking up the H701 processor, an amp and a subthump box/ED sub here within the next few weeks when I find some time.
