I recently had what I thought was a minor fender bender with my 2002 Avalanche. In a construction area in a "cattle chute" I tapped a 2002 tahoe. The only damage to the tahoe was a dent the size of a quarter in the rear bumper and the trailer hitch plug was bent slightly.
My Av is a different story. Since the impact wasn't even great enough to set off the airbag I thought it would be minor. IT WASN"T. I had $5200.00 damage practically all plastic parts, cladding, new radiator and condensor.
I have been without my AV for over 2 weeks since the body shop has told me they are having a hard time getting all of the parts from GM.
Don't get me wrong. I am very happy with this vehicle and its adaptability. The accident was my fault. I am just alittle aggravated at the costs as well as the downtime. I hope this improves.
