I have the pioneer 7400mp head unit

I am looking at either of the 2 components which is recommended? Or would you say something else.

Infinity Reference 605cs 61/2" $199.00

Pioneer TS-C1353 5 1/4" $119.00

I am also looking at the
MTX Audio Thunder8000 T8.5 $139.95
for my midrange in the backdoors. Would this be a good set for the doors or should I go with a 2 way/3way.

I plan on a sub sometime after about 6months but could be longer.

What amp should I go with to run the components and the midranges (not the sub).

Mrowe,
Go with whatever sounds best to you. ?All of our opinions/reviews have already been posted in those links I already provided to you twice.
Stereo Tips & Online Buying

I myslef am partial to Pioneer, and think that a good qaulity pair of coaxials like their REV series are every bit as good as most component sets.

Go with whatever amp you can get a good deal on through those internet stores that are linked to the posts I sent you earlier. ?There you can also read about all the different set-ups the members here have done.

Good luck on the install. (y) ?
Give it the better part of a day to do everything.

SORRY zimms.

I have read through every post (yes every) on this forumn but I am pretty much a meathead when it comes to this stuff. I am the type that would like to give my CC to someone who knows what they are doing and have them go buy what I need. I just got further confused by reading about everyones setup along with their recommendations. Thats why I just posted what I was thinking exactly and hoped someone would say yeah or neay

I have the Infinity 605CS components installed in my truck and I think they are outstanding.

I installed the Polk EX602A's coax's in the back doors because I think they have an a decent midrange frequency response.

I'm running my all four door speakers with a MTX 4244 amp. It's putting out about 50 watts per channel and it cranks pretty well.

I think you'll like the 605CS's if you decide to go with them.

Good luck with your install,

ditto.

What Zimms said. Sound is an idividual thing, but it sounds like your on the right track. You will be investing in bass though. It seems we all end up wanting more and more and more.

Pioneer is good stuff. I don't think you can go wrong with it.

go with 2 way speakers in the doors. i would do the Infinity speakers. the MTX amp sounds okay. just run these until you get the sub. i do not think you will like the lows from the speakers in the doors. leave that job to a 8" or 10" sub.

I recently changed out the speakers in my 02 AV. Pioneer TS-D170R in the front and Pioneer TS-A1767 in the rear. The sound is alot better, but not much of a difference is made in volume. That will come with the addition of your amp. Be carefull cranking up you aftermarket speakers without an amp. Even if you have a "high power" head unit. they can not actually push the wattage they boast. the distortion will kill your speakers just as fast as Too much power will. Try to refrain untill you get that amp.
I used to run a Sony Xpode 800W, now I think they have dropped to a 760W. I was very pleased. And for the money, I felt I got a pretty good deal.
I am still running the stock head unit in my AV. Havent yet installed an amp. Soon I hope....can't say much about that, my wife may be looking on.

Good Luck,
carriles
