>:DI knew that would get attention.
Has anyone seen the new pictures out of the SS Tahoe.
After reading up on it and finding out it will have the police package suspension which lowers it a little and has a little different sway bars, i called a friend who is checking with his Brother in law who works at the Chevrolet house in the customizing shop to see if it would work on the AV.
It drops the front end 1" and the back in 2" i think, will try to find out a little more info for it and if he comes up with part numbers and price i will post.
I would think the rear springs for the tahoe would work on the 1500 AV.

How about finishing it off with the "Police Interceptor" badge from a Crown Vic? :0:

Why not just wait..........surely they will build them??

I plan on getting the badge for the AV
policeinterceptorbadge.jpg

The part number is XW7Z-5442528-AA

How long do you think you'll last out on the highway before you get pulled over for the police interceptor badge
-James

Hmmmmmm . . . and why would a police officer believe that an AV wearing a POLICE INTERCEPTOR is actually a cop LOL

It most likely won't help you any if you're already getting pulled over for speeding and the officer sees that while he's walking up to your window.

I did see a police addition AV at the auto show in KC this weekend. It belongs to the Jackson County Sheriff department. It was pretty cool, probably a drug bust causality. Its a sad day when someone corrupts an innocent AV. ???

Zeeya,
Ramp Chevrolet on Long Island has that Tohoe. There is another post that discusses this good luck finding it. It is called the Tohoe SS2. THere is also another name on it. I think it said something like Hurricane. The word "Tahoe" is no where to be found on that truck. It's lowered, Has a single out the side Corsa Exhaust, 20 Inch Low Pro Wheels and tires. The truck was selling for $44,000. Looked awesome but way over priced!!!!

Hey dday, that AV was not corrupted. It was set free to cruise the streets of Jackson County and show what a police vehicle should be. I talked my rear off to get it approved to buy it. Chevy was very good to us on the price. What you saw at the Auto Show is only the beginning. Everything on it is donated with more to come. I'm working on some new wheels, better air system and perf. chip. Did you get a chance to see the 12 police strobes and L.E.D.'s? So far I've stopped 20 cars for traffic problems ( all given warnings) as I go from school to school. It freaks people out and they luv the truck. Good P.R. Since you're in Lee's Summit look me up and I'll show you the progress. Photo's will be done soon when I get the wheels. ;D ;D

Just to put my two cents in on the Po-Po Av. I was talking to a guy from Chevy Corp. in Detroit awhile back and he informed me that the Michigan State Police have some Z66 versions that the factory outfitted for them special with different rear-ends and suspension packages.

D.A.R.E.av, I will have to look for you next time I visit my HQ in KC, VFW. My friend lived in Blue Springs for years by the hosp. He says he moved up town to Grain Valley. I spent many a fine night in Blue Springs and Independence. Shame it has all grown up, loved the hamburger stand, W's.

Crabby Blue, give a yell when you're around. Grain Valley borders Blue Springs.

I was at John Elway Chevy here in colorado yesterday talking to the fleet guy there while we where finishing up the paper work on my new 03 Avalanche yesterday. He told me that the Denver Police where buying a 03 Pewter Avalanche he didn't know what they where going to do with it. I just thought that i would let you know.

Here's a pic of my Av that does double duty as my daily driver and my company rig - lightbar and graphics are magnetic.
