Positive Feedback About My Dealer

For a number of reasons.

1..He sold me my Yellow AV for UNDER ?dealer invoice, and then applied the $4,500 rebate.

2. While he still had the AV waiting for the phone transfer, paint & leather protector and soundproofing to be installed, he let me take the running boards home for the weekend so I could fill my idle hours installing the 12 running board lights I wanted to do. I haden't even paid for the truck yet!

3. ?They agreed to sell all parts & accessories I may ever want from their parts department at 10% over their cost. (Also to any other CAFCNA members)

4. ?Regarding another matter, my wife's '95 Blazer was in their service department at the same time for leaking freeze plugs, of all things. ?Since most of them were leaking, including behind the flywheel (requiring pulling the trans), we decided to replace ALL of them. ?I mentioned to the service director that this was a very unusual and expensive ($1,600.00) failure for a properly maintained vehicle, and he agreed, and said he'd call GM. ?Low and behold, GM agreed to pay for half of the repairs, even though this vehicle had seen 8 years of service.

My dealer is soooooooo great! (and so is GM)

Jennings Chevrolet, Glenview, IL ?847 729-1000

Ask for Jim Norman in parts, if you want the 10% deal

Thanks for the story. It is good to hear a positive story about a dealer for a change (y) :B:

Good To Hear That You Have A Great Dealer. Well It Looks Like CAAC Already Has It's First Yellow Av. All We Need Now Is WBH . . . .I Think We Have A Member Out There From IL Who Has WBH.

kingbee,

What I'd give to have a dealer like that. Lucky guy!

Tell me about the soundproofing. For your sound system?

Kingbee,

I may have seen your Yellow AV on the road this morning (on a truck of course). It was the first one I've seen. It was on a truck getting on 290 Westbound. Great looking ride. I really liek the yellow AV.

Congrats on your new AV. That is great that you have such an amazing dealership to go to. Lucky you. (y)

Mine has offered free oil changes for a year and then yesterday a bottle of touch up paint comes in the mail.

Now if the oil changes are MOBIL1, then I'll feel lucky.

Welcome kingbee - and let me just say that this is the kinda post that we should have more of - a Chevy lover lovin Chevy ;) It is most refreshing to see a positive post about a dealer. I too have a great relationship with my dealer - course they are the sponsoring dealer for the Houston Chapter, but nonetheless they do a great job. ;D

El Dorado Chevy here in Dallas Ft WOrth said they will sell AV's to club members for $100 over invoice plus $4500 rebate and will extend the rebate until March 1st past the 28th cutoff.

I have to say that my dealer Frank Pastrick Chevrolet in Benton Harbor MI is awesome. Every dealing I've had with them has been very positive. Luckily I've never needed any warranty work on my Av but the times the truck has been in for service they've always gone the extra mile to be sure I'm a happy camper. I don't expect to pay $21.00 for a LOF and also get my vehicle detailed by the prep guys but it's happened 2 times now. (They aren't as good at eliminating water spots as I am but WTF...)

Hey guys, I noticed in the recent days, many more people are coming out with problems with cars and dealerships. I thinks that it's a good thing that in the sense we become more educated ,to fight for our rights to own and drive trouble free cars. Post your thoughts on this. I have. ;)

Ya, and it might be a good idea to start a thread that contains names, address and pho numbers of the dealers and their service writers and service managers that to a great job.

I'd drive a ways to get to a really good dealership!

I will start the list...

I have nothing but good things to say about Sapaugh GM Country's Service Department. It is located just south of the St. Louis area. We have bought a number of GM cars and have them regularly serviced there. The service managers are great and go the extra mile to ensure you are 100% satisfied with their work.

My dealer is real good to me and they know how picky I am when it comes to my truck. Liberty Chevorlet in Wakefield, Ma. is a friendly dealership to deal with (y)

I bought my Avalanche from Sam Pierce Chevy in Middletown Indiana. It was a very small dealership with a one car showroom. Great service and very friendly. The owner is a collector of nice chevy's and has them on display a lot. They just moved into their new building about 5 miles away and I am sure they are still the finest dealership anywhere around!

I bought my Avalanche from John Elway Chey here in Colorado. They are the nicest dealer I have ever bought a vehical from. They know me by first name. I have not been in the dealer area for over a year and they still remember me. I think it was cause I loved my old Blazer ZR2, so much. I called them up to get some part numbers and price quotes and they beat every other dealer by $70 atleast. They just could not beat GM Parts Direct off the internet. The guy in parts just said with out me asking I can drop that by $40. I just thought it was so cool that he did that. I would recommend everyone I know yo go there.

Thank You John Elway Chevy!!!!!!!

Three Way Chevrolet in Bakersfield, CA.

My salesman is Greg Broida in fleet sales.

Salesman and service is top notch. They never quibble about the service, repairs or warranty.

Great job.

Trophyman.

My dealership is Town & Country in Milwaukie, Oregon. ?The sales department is a real "front line outfit." ?The tactics are unbelieveable.

BUT, if you stand your ground, playing all of their stupid games, you can eventually whack out a fairly good deal. ?It would be hard to imagine the sales guys (who usually last about a month) actually enjoy their games.

All I want is to be offered a fair deal and I will write a check for the vehicle. ?Apparently, this is a mindset that is too simple for the richardheads to comprehend.

The only reason I buy there is because of the service department. ?When you walk fifty feet to the East, it is like you are in a whole different world.

The T&C service department is fair, honest and will not job you. Service is on-time, on-price and they won't sell you something you don't need.

It would be a great world if all GM service departments were as low-key and honest as the one at T&C.

Not that you are about to run out to Alberta for an oil change, but I have had a really good experience dealing with the guys at High Country Chev just outside of Calgary.
