First camping trip for old blu pulling a 24' only issue was transmission temperature reached 224 in traffic. So I will be installing either a Hayden 697 or 698 transmission cooler not much difference between the two and the $15.00 price difference doesn't matter either. Gas mileage was 10.9 average at 55 an the freeway the hour that we drove, we only went an short trip from the house to get away from all this and do some relaxing for a week. Have fun. Stay cool only suppose to be 95 today  bye

I pull a 24ft pontoon with a 115 4stroke motor on it( add weight) I was curious if helper spring or something make it haul better?

Are you having issues with pulling the trailer or sway.
24 feet is a little long for a 1500, but it can be done.
How much does the boat and trailer weigh

I tow my Party Barge 25 with a 120 HP outboard with my 2004 EXT.

My barge weights around 5K pounds with a tongue weight of around 500 pounds.

The package is balanced really well and I have even towed it with a 1993 Ford Explorer a time or two.

The EXT came with auto leveling rear air shocks and it tows level.

When you drop the trailer tongue on the hitch, the air pump kicks on and raises the rear of the truck back to it's designed level.

I have not towed the package with my 2003 Z-66 with the Nivomat auto leveling rear shocks, but they are supposed to auto level the rear end.

I have considered installing air bag leveling on the Avalanche if I have to start using that truck as my main tow vehicle.

The Nivomat shocks have performed well with large loads in the bed of the truck, but I am not sure how well they will work with the big trailer load.

They might work fine, I just don't know.
