I have a off idle bird chirping kind of noise so after replacing all the belt tensioners /idlers, I still have the noise; I have a less than 1 year old alternator, a 2 month old water pump, and I removed the belt from the AC compressor. So I have eliminated all but the Power steering pump and still have the ^%&#$(*^ noise. There are 2 pressure type hoses and one return hose. I plan on flushing the system with the old pump then again with the new pump. I got thwe new pump at Auto Zone today, it was wrapped in a plastic bag, I removed the pump[ and in the process power steering fluid (most likely Tranny fluid) ran all over my picnic table. The pump was wet (looked like it was leaking) at the pump /reservoir joint at the bottom of (below the pump shaft) the pump. I called the free tech line and they wanted me to take the reservoir off to see if there was a o ring in there. I refused explaining that such action (in MHO and exp.) voids the warranty and I'd never get the reservoir back on without a leak so they told me to return it yeah, that's a big "no kidding"! So, it's back to the zone and maybe over to NAPA for a pump.

Look into the hydrobooster if it has one. Just changed mine this week and it corrected similar issues.
