Does anybody have any experience with Z36 Truck & Tow Performance Kit with Powder Coated Calipers? I went to replace my pads this afternoon and the caliper bolt snapped inside the caliper so I now need calipers too. I'm thinking of the Power Stop. Upgrading to GMT900 is not an option because I run 16 inch winter tires. Any other good options besides these?

stock from local auto parts store...

I replaced four years ago with stock and they are a rusty mess. Up here in the rust belt I need something that is coated. I'm wondering if the heat from the mountains cooked the lube.

I'm seeing police spec packages meant to withstand severe duty and extreme heat that I'm now considering. I'm just flomuxed at how the inside of the caliper bolt sized that bad after only four years.

PAint them.... I painted mine red

Thanks, I lack time for that right now. I do like the suggestion as it be cool to paint them the same yellow as the truck. Of course this happens when the snow starts. I did find a set of coated calipers at Rock Auto I'm going to go with. Essentially stock with a rust coating.

So has anybody seen a caliper bolt get seized this deep into a caliper? I wasn't surprised it snapped but the location sure surprised me. No threads or anything there now really a way to get penetrating oil that deep either. I made sure to lube it up well last time I did the brakes because one of the other calipers was sticking.
