While trying to amuse my daughter, I notied that the passanger side rear window goes up at half the speed of the driver side rear window.

Going down both go about the same speed.

I normally expect some speed difference, but half the speed is rather unusuall IMHO.

Could this be an indication of the motor going bad already, or has anyone else had this problem?

I have the exact same problem, in fact when it goes up you can see that the window is cocked on an angle until it gets all the way up... i was going to take this to the dealer , but havent gotten around to it.

could be dirt in rubber track
window askew....
track mechanism needs lube
and lastly a weak motor

Same here.. my wife was sitting in the back with my little baby when we went out for a Christmas light cruising in the park. As my kid wanted a clear view, wife pressed the rr win switch, nothing. I thought the lock out was on as it weren't then I pressed the win switch. Nothing. Few minutes later, I pressed and it worked as it rolled down like if the battery was dead. I checked the lr win, it rolled down and up at about the same speed. Ill have the dealer check it out and let you know.

I am kinda expercing the same problem too. Sometimes, the rear right window doesnt go up, so I have to let go of the switch and then push it up again. ???

Funny, have to have dealer look at this as well, mine is VERY slow, and quit on me once

Last night my right rear power window got real slow going up and then quit. It still went down fine. My wife says that this has happened several times, usually when it's real cold outside. When the truck warms up, the window comes back to life. I'm not sure if I should have the dealer look at this because they probably won't be able to duplicate the problem. Is there a TSB on this issue? Is there a good chance that this motor will crap out entirely after my warranty is up?

well, i have the same problem, already had the motor replaced on the passenger side in the front but when I brought the AV in for the rear passenger window they said they "couldnt reproduce customer complaint" It is still happening and sometimes gets really stuck. I want the motor replaced but the dealer wont do it. Time to make some more ruckus at the dealer I think. I will let you all know what happens when I take it back.

I have the same problem. I had the dealer replace the motor and that didn't seem to do much good. What can a guy do next?

I dropped mine off at the dealer and they are going to replace the actuator(sp?) in that side. When mine goes up, it also seems that the top shifts forward and it looks like the motor is having trouble as one side would generate more friction then the other. My part is on order and should hopefully be replaced next week. I'm not holding my breathe though. I'll post an update after they have fixed it.

My 02 had to have a new pass. front motor put in at 20,000 miles. didn't pay attention to the speed, but it sounded like a gravel grinder.

Wow, I thought it was just me. I had mine changed out last Tuesday and had to leave it overnight as they had to order the part via next day air. Now that I checked the rear passenger after it was fixed it STILL goes up pretty slow as compared to the others. Should I take it back?

I'd take it back and have them look at it. If it's still under warranty. My main concern is that the window would fail with a bad motor when it's raining and my daughter is sitting next to the window.

Just took it back in this morning and also told them about the rattle in the drivers side door. They were VERY apologetic and kept saying "we are so sorry". What are the odds of them giving me a freebie like............ maybe a cd changer?? Yea right. ;D

Might want to try a little silicone spray on the inner and outter seal strips of the windows before dropping off at the dealer. Also spray some on the run channel. Dirt and debris gets caught in the felt like flocking causing the window to bind. This helped on mine. Goodluck........... dangerranger
