Wow, what a great site. I have a problem I could use some help on. I recently purchased an o3 av and after a month or so, the two back doors failed to unlock by either the unlock switches or the key fob. I now have to unlock them by hand. the "unlock' option on my key fob totally went out at one time, but i used the info off this site to reprogram it. Now, the unlock button on the fob works, but still only for the front doors, :help: not the back.  Please help. Thanks in advance.

Duh, relays are bad. Sorry everybody. I just hope I don't  have any more electrical problems, though it seems 03's are infamous for that sort of thing.

Glad you found the problem... oh! yeah! relays tend to do that however as electrical problems go, you are fine and if not that is why where here right? And
:welcome:

Been pretty blessed with my 03.  BTW  :welcome: to the club and hope to see more of you.

:E: :E: :E: :E: :E: :E: 45bucks and a little bit of reading and i fixed it. You have 2  relay's and 2 fuse's one of the fuse's blew out. but best buy is going to cover for the relay's, whew >:D

I can use some help on this same issue.   My back doors won't lock by remote or by the button on the drivers door.   However, sometimes when on long trips the doors start locking with speed.   Since they work sometimes, but not most of the time is it a relay issue or something more basic.

I have no indication of bad alternator etc, stereo plays hard/loud with bose subwoofer and no light dimming etc.

Where are the relays so I can pull them and clean them before trying to replace?

Same Problem, they lock fine with the Fob, Door Button or the drive a distance lock function.  However they only will unlock if I roll down the window and reach in!

So which relays did the Dealer replace?  I have been chasing this "Ghost" for more than a month.  I have done the Battery disconnect three times, not a change.  I was about to dismantel the Dashboard to "Ground Out" a connector, but if I don't have to do that I will feel better!  And relays are something I can handle, maybe if I can get my hand into a small place!  (y)

the relays are on the driver side of the dash board. pull the cover off and you'll see em. like I said mine's was just a fuse blown so be very sure to check your fuse's first, it'll save you alot of headaches.

Checked all the fuses and they are good. ? I shoulda figured that one out when the doors will unlock with remote or using the button on driver door, they just won't lock. ? (OK, so I'm not so smart sometimes).

Still trying to find relays. ? What do they look like?

You are AWESOME. ?? That diagram helped a ton. ?? I went out to the truck and pulled out both relays. ?? (knowing exactly where they were was a confidence builder)? They were severely stuck. ?? I almost was afraid to pull on them, but with some cussing and working, they popped out. ?

They smelled fine, looked fine, even looked new. ?? Took them inside and cleaned the contacts and popped them back in. ?? Now everything is working fine. ?

Thanks for your help!  (y)

Took out both Relays.  Cleaned them up and was getting ready to put them back in, when I leaned on the door rest hitting the door lock button.  The front doors locked and unlocked with out the relays being in the fuse block, no change in the back manual open and auto lock.  So unless I pulled the wrong little black relays, I must not need them?  Some one please tell me that I pulled the wrong ones and I don't have a major electrical problem beginning to manifest itself.

Thanks Again for not saying this guy is messed up, even if I have been saying it to myself!!  :D
