I installed the PP PRF-30822 kit in my 04 Av, based on the positive experience I’d had with another PP kit on my former 96 Silverado.

It is a simple relay + fuse kit with PP-grade wiring that allows both the high and low beams to be turned on simultaneously. Ie., hit the high beams and the low beams remain on.

Yeah, yeah, I know- I paid CDN71 at CarQuest for something I could have done with a resistor diode 😁 But the kit is simple to install, high quality components and delivers a lot more light here in deer country. I haven’t decided whether to install a set of additional driving lights now that I have much better stock lighting. Remember to use dielectric grease on the main +ve connection.

Actually its a $.25 diode...

I would suggest getting that $.25 diode then using your kit to power an auxilary light. Like maybe a 30" bar behind your grill.
