CANCELED:::::::::::::NOT ENOUGH ATTENDEES
I will try to get this rolling again in February when things aren't so close to the holidays.
=====================
Time to grab the family for some Avalanche fun! In, tada - Tacoma.
Tacoma?
Yes - Tacoma baby, Tacoma! This is a family friendly cruise so grab the kids because they'll have a blast:
MEET: At 11:30 AM at Union Station, located at 1717 Pacific Ave in Tacoma. There is ample free parking in the area, but doubtful we can get all grouped together. If it is too cold, wet to meet outside of Union Station then there is a sheltered area by the entrance to the Washington State History Museum adjacent. Please have eaten lunch BEFORE arriving. There is a Subway and Taco del Mar right across the street.
====================================
12:00 Noon - visit the Washington State History Museum. IMHO it is one of the finest museums as far as quality of the exhibits, the educational experience it offers,, and interactivity for the entire family. This place completely kicks butt - PERIOD! Admission is $7.00 per adult, cheaper for children - family annual memberships offered and if you live in the Tacoma area IMHO well worth the money!

2:00 PM - take a walk over as a group to the Museum of Glass weather permitting. If the weather is really bad we can drive over.
2:15 PM Arrive at the Museum of Glass, which has grown into one of Washington's top tourist destinations.

I've never been, but I've heard rave reviews and the building itself is something to see.
3:45 PM leave the Museum of Glass and load up to go to Southern Kitchen.
4:00 PM Depart downtown Tacoma.
4:15 PM Arrive at Southern Kitchen

Folks, this is southern cooking at it's finest. Bring an appetite because this place is incredible. However, all fried chicken is cooked to order, so in the interest of time please consider taking that off of your wish list of vittles.
5:45 PM - leave Southern Kitchen.
6:00 PM - Arrive at the Pt. Definance Zoo for Zoo Lights
See the Christmas lights at the Point Defiance Zoo and have your picture taken with a zoo critter. Admission is $4.00 per adult - less if you live in Pierce County.
