Greetings from Santa Fe, New Mexico!
I plan to purchase a Chevy Avalanche (Model 1500 4x4)
with in the next few weeks. I need a 4X4 because of
the non-paved roads in the high desert (7,000' above
sea level, snow, etc.). My question is to those of you
out there in the real world--- what are the pros and
cons of the stock 3.73 and 4.10 rear axels; e.g.,
trailering and MPG.

I'll be doing some light trailering; 2,000-3,000 lb. range.
