Question For Those With The Spoiler...

Have you noticed any difference in the amount of water that gets kicked up on the back window?

I know mine gets completely covered in the South Florida rain without one and if the spoiler gets rid of some of that my refund money will go towards getting one.

Thanks

I assume you mean the Sportwing Spoiler.

I like the mod, but can't comment on the water off the rear glass. I put a flag design on the rear, so when water collects, it fills thouseands of tiny hole in the design to allow me to see out the rear window from the inside.

I have the Sportwing and it does seem to help, but that is not conclusive. I think there was another thread about this before - search and you will probably find more info.

i started this thread:
Whirlwind behind rear window

I think the answer was maybe/kinda.

Dave02Z66 added sail panels also.
We need a report back from him on this.

I can't say I noticed any difference as far as the rear glass staying any cleaner with the sport wing.

I have noticed my AV has more rear grip from the down force around 120MPH. >:D Just kidding, the Sport Wing is an appearance mod!

I am in that waiting mode for mods :7: The spoiler should be in friday and hopefully put it on this weekend. I also have the sail windows. So when I get it done I'll post a note. Untill then, I use Rain-X on the back window and it seems to help alot ;D

What is "refund money"? ???

I can't say that it helps with keeping water off the back glass. I can tell you this....BUY ONE ANYWAY!!!!! ;D

The sportwing spoiler is by far one of my most favorite mods. It adds a whole new sporty dimension to the AV. It is worth EVERY penny! (y)

i had the rear window tinted with a glasscape.. and it would cloud up when it would rain... after i installed the spoiler i never had a problem, just one or two lines of water... so i would say yes it helps a ton in my case!

Thanks for the info guys.

And "refund money" is where the IRS sends me a check to buy more mods that I read about here.

Anyone heard of this? The IRS sends me a bill.

Hmmmmmmmm, my only question about the spoiler is......who's gonna give the theirs? I need a black one please! ;D

My refund is going towards a credit card payment for the CargoPro I got.....now that I'm past that, on to more modding! >:D

maybe you should post this again on that Thong thread! might have some offers/deals.

FYI-
Sportwing has this on Ebay. maybe you can save some money.

Yes the Sportwing does add about 3 inches in height. It did not effect any entries into any parking garages but you might have some difficulties using your garage.

I installed the spoiler a couple weeks ago, but just finally got some rain around here. I also have the deflector for the sunroof, so between the two, I hardly got any water on the back glass. ;D

I thought about this as well, I was real papranoid the first time I was in the parking garage at school. I opened my sunroof and was watching the proximity to the roof, but I got to thinking as long as the antenna doesnt hit the sprotwing should be ok. The antenna sticks up much higher.
