Hey all,

I'm makin a quick run by the local auto parts store today for lunch, mostly to pick up a pair of Amber bulbs for the DRLs so that I can show my required "membership mod" at the DFW meet this weekend. But I thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions of anything else nifty (and cheap) that I might keep my eyes open for too. I don't want to spend more than $50 today.

I thought I'd browse around and see if they have a blue Mag light or maybe the $10 Replacement Sway Bar Bushings that were discussed here.

Any other suggestions of what I might look for? And also, what's the difference between the 3157 and 4157 NALL bulbs for the Amber DRLs?

I believe the difference between 3157 and 4157 is the 4157 is a heavy duty or "continuous use" bulb. A good $10 purchase that won't count as a mod would be a large microfiber towel for drying your baby after it's weekly bath...

A cheap mod you could pickup though would be a can of Duplicolor in the same color as your Av. Spray your bowtie in the same color as your rig. It looks great that way. Make sure you also get a can of Duplicolor clear coat!

Ended up getting the Sylvania 3157/4157 NALL bulbs (they're labelled both on the same package) and a digital tire pressure guage which will probably prove useful after they put the new rubber on this evening.

That idea of painting the bow-tie in the grill is a really good one though. I'm definately gonna keep that in mind for later. Would painting that require the paint, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, clear-coat, sand, etc. process that was already mentioned on the engine cover thread?

All I did was finely sand mine. Paint about 10 coats GM1 black and then about 6 coats clear coat. I need to update my sig picture to show the black bowtie.
