Raffle Disaster - Tickets Are UNDERSOLD

UPDATE! Raffle tickets are sold out however I'm at the real job today so I have no way of FTPing up a new page without a purchase option. Please do not buy any more raffle tickets - we're now oversold. UGH!!!!


UGH! ?Life is to freakin' complicated. ?Maybe it was the Oxycotin when I was doing the math or maybe my head was wrapped around Wild West too much but the Summer Raffle II is UNDERSOLD.

The bad news then is folks who have been waiting for the drawing - well I need to close out the ticket sales. ?The good news for those who haven't entered you've got a second chance. ?We're undersold by a wide margin (51 tickets). ?I don't know how it happened but I just got back from the powers that be and when we went to do the drawing well we were short 53 entries.

So flog the Chief. ?The raffle page will change shortly - there are officially 53 tickets remaining on the raffle. ?My deepest apologies to all. ?Ugh - this is getting hard - to those who are waiting please wait a little longer, for those who didn't sign up yet - you've got a second chance on some GREAT prizes!

I guess this means I have to go to work tomorrow. If I had won the lottery tonight (I didn't), I was gonna quit tomorrow and go on a cross-country camping trip in my newly won tent. See, Chief, you aren't the only one having a bad day!

Thats very strange. The last day everyone was buying tickets and the counter kept saying 9 tickets left. I bet you sold 50 tickets the last day with everyone trying to decrement the counter to zero. I bought during the last day blitz. Is it possible those got lost?

I am beginning to think that it is hard coded and Chief has to manually change the number after he counts the sales for the day...

The counter number is hard coded and it is an intense manual process to track sales. PayPal gives me no ability to count down sales. UGH!

Got mine, I don't think anyone would mind if the tickets were oversold, may decrease our chances a little but more money for the club

We've gotta be oversold at this point, especially after my five.

So what happens to the extra tickets? Could be:
1) more than 500 tickets are entered in the raffle
2) purchase price for excess tickets are refunded
3) excess tickets become cash sontribution to the club

Any other possiblities that I missed?

Personally, I'm comfortable with any option other than #1, the 500 tix should be a hard limit. But that's just one person's opinion, I have nothing to do with the raffle. (other than I want a tent!)
