2013 Avalanche 2WD (probably same issue that a Tahoe and Suburban could have).
Short story: Rainwater on the floorboard while parked during a rain storm. Problem was the driver side sunroof drain hose had separated from the fitting. Took off the sunvisor and got between the headliner and roof, reconnected the hose. Problem solved.

Longer story: Thanks to everyone who has ever posted problems and/or solutions on this and other forums. It's invaluable to the vehicle owners and it potentially can save us lots of headaches and money.

I would find water on the floorboard on driver's side from unknown source. It's been going on for a while. I finally isolated it and found it coming from under the dash. Pulled the A pillar trim off found water inside the trim. Ran water from a hose on roof, over the windshield, sunroof, door seals but couldn't make it leak. Sunroof seal looked OK, door seal OK, windshield seal OK. Couldn't find anything to fix. Scoured online forums to no avail. Scoured some more and got the idea to open the sunroof and pour water in the drainage tray. When I did, water poured down the A pillar onto the seat and floor. Woohoo! Took off the sunvisor and got between the headliner and roof and found the driver side sunroof drain hose had separated from the fitting. I reconnected the hose. Problem solved.

How did it get separated? There's just one thing I can think of. A little over a year ago I had the Avalanche equipped to flat tow it behind my motorhome. The installation included running a wire from the rear view mirror down the A pillar and on under the dash to the brake unit. It's possible that the installer tugged on the tube and managed to pull it loose from the fitting. Yet if it had been going on for a whole year I think I would have noticed even though it doesn't rain a lot in Texas. It's still a big mystery to me, but at least I'll know where to look if the problem occurs again.

I have three photos I could share but I don't see an easy way to get them up here.

Glad you got your issue solved and you shared with the group.

You will need a few more posts before you are able to post pictures.

Looking forward to them.
