I have some Rain-X wax out in the garage. Used it last summer and was not impressed. It didn't seem to last very long.
Yesterday was very warm here so I gave my Av its first coat of Zaino. That was my first experience with it and I will never use anything else. On and off easy with no white powder. If I got any on the cladding I sure can't see it.
Ya I tryied the stuff it is a good wax. have a cal. duster handy after you get done it will leave a dust. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10 ( i have not found 10 yet ) Try it
I have been a Rain-X user for many, many years. Originally I used it to get the waterspots off of the windows after washing my Camaro in Florida.
I found that it takes a couple of applications to get used to using the product and also for it to "take-hold" on the windows, so give it a chance to work if you try it.
Some of the things I have learned: I apply Rain-X with a regular shop rag and do the driver side window first and work counter-clockwise (the sunroof last if you have one) and then I reapply doing the same thing. I then use the soft cloth towel I used to dry the windows to take the product off. If the towel is dry and not slightly (very slightly) damp, then you tend to have swirls on your windows. If there are swirls, use a glass cleaner to reclean your windows. I have also used it for pine-sap removal. It works great...just makes the sap disappear....But the key here is to NOT let it stay on the paint. Remove it immediately.
And to really blow your mind....I even use it on the glass doors in my shower...keeps them cleaner longer. Also use it on your shaving mirror if you have one in the shower....keeps it fogless. It also works very well as a topping for ice cream....rocky road and rain-x.
