The Avalanche and Suburban are pretty much cousins so I figured you guys might be interested in this. I took a trip up to New England Dragway for some opening day racing. The weather was good and the place was packed. I took 4 runs before calling it a night. Ran back to back 14.08s and then a 14.20 and 14.22. Both of those runs bumped the rev limiter going into 3rd. I was going to take a 5th pass but that would have been an hour of waiting and then another 2 hours home so I left happy with the 14.0 @ 96.59 MPH. I launched the truck in Auto 4WD. That produced 60' times of 2.0 on each run (best was 2.00). Not to bad for 6800lbs. :)

The auto 4WD shifted out ok, or did it stay engaged?
Damn that's fast! 6L 8.01 or what eng?

I launch in auto 4WD and then turn it off by 50-60 feet out. This is a 8.1 truck with 4.10 gears, an intercooled Whipple supercharger, Volant induction, TOG headers, electric fans, Direct Hits igniton, stock muffler and custom computer programming. Pictures and detailed info can be found at - http://www.tbyrne.com/Suburban/02suburban.html

I ran the stock wheels/tires at the track. The 22s are 3" taller and each one weighs about 20lbs more.
