Has anyone expirenced a rattle which seems to be coming from above the windshield around the Onstar antena?
It sounds like a loose wire vibrating between the roof and the headliner.
And it's only when I reach speeds over 75- 80.

Any help is appreciated.

Rattle? or maybe like bugs hitting windshield?

Do you have bug deflector recently installed?

If yes..then the windshield side moldings are flapping in the breeze...and need to be double side taped to windshield...

see this:

CAFCNA magazine march 2002

I have noticed a rattle or flapping sound that seems to come from the roof at 60 mph.  I really notice it when I am in the turbulence behind a Tractor Trailer.  I think that it is the slidable bars on the luggage rack on the roof.  This is just theory at this point.

Do you have a air deflexer on the hood like this namttip

How about a sunroof do you have one. ???

Check to see if anything is loose in the sunroof, you may have to pull down the headliner. While you have it down you can check the antenna.

I checked the sunroof and antenna, and both seem secure.  As I was looking at the roof, I checked the movable cross rails of the luggage rack, and they rock back and forth when they are latched in place.  That seems like the most likely cause to this rattle sound.

I don't know about the Av cross rails because I removed them the day I got the truck....not wanted and unnecessary drag. But the last SUV I had with a factory roof rack, a Jeep GC, developed that same rattle problem at speed about mid life and it was the cross bars.

I'm having the same symptom, but the issue IS with the sunroof on my 2011 LTZ. As for the symptom itself, in addition to blustery wind turbulence and/or at highway speeds, the entire leading (forward) edge of my sunroof appears to rattle up and down, as if it's not secured properly. While parked in the driveway, from the driver's seat I can manually lift the forward edge of the glass up and down at 1/4" when the roof is fully closed. This movement also happens every time a door is closed with all windows up from the sudden interior air pressure. I haven't been able to investigate the cause myself yet, but if someone can point me to an exploded view of the sunroof's workings, it might offer a head start. Thanks in advance, and I'll update with any additional info.
