I know there are plenty of lifts available for the Avalanche....

Rancho, FabTech, ProComp, RCD, etc.....

I wanted to know from those who have an RCD or FabTech Lift how they like them. What do / don't you like ? ?.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I have the RCD 6' lift for the Av 1500. This kit is great and performs well off-road.

It must be noted that I have two complaints. The rear of the vehicle sits higher than the front...I thought the Av would sit level after the lift installation. After the lift install, the front sat so low that my friend asked if the truck belonged to John Force. I had the torsion bars "cranked" to lessen the difference and this helped a little. Second, the rear "rattles" due to the fact the the replacement "arm(s)" (connect between the frame & rear axle) bushings/sleaves are a few thousands of an inch difference than the factory bolt. This produces a rattle that can be heard at low speed when the rear suspension crosses over road imperfections. I will get larger bolts soon...RCD would not help me. Hope this helps.

P.S. search for mt experience with Fabtech. "Why I don't want Fabtech"

I have the RCD and will see you on the Julian run. Ride with me during the off-road portion and you can make your own opinion. Advice from others is great, but it is not the same as doing it. You can take it for a twirl and see how you like it.
